WUJEK

"Wujek" (pronounced "woo-yek") is the Polish word for "uncle". Wujek is actually Mieczyslaw Wilk, a Polish-Canadian artist who lives and creates his artwork in Toronto, Canada.

Wujek's imaginative creations are lively and fun. Inspired by nature, Wujek enjoys the challenge of transforming rough materials into whimsical showpieces. He works primarily with indigenous woods, and has experimented with a variety of surface finishes. Whenever possible, he tries to retain the character of the original wood in his finished products.
