A Long Lost Friend

Through the deep, dark finish
Underneath the beaten lacqour
Throughout years of abuse
The tired wood judges not
It sits there and watches
For that is what it does best
It hears tales of love and war
And carries every secrit to the grave

Under the dim light it sits
Felt its share of spilled drinks
It takes in the smoke
As if to deepin its character
It's ears have heard so much
It has grown used to such refind tastes
That if an unworthy sould play
She will let everyone know it

Young and old sit together
Each with respect for the next
Everyones a friend to her
No matter how they have wronged
Even after everyone has left
And the lights have been turned off
She is never truely alone
For she leaves a little bit in everyone

There are many young to take her place
But she always stands strong
For what she stands for
Will outlive her maker
She always feels loved
Everynight her tender cleanes her
Lets her feel his cloth
It's then she is truely home
