You can add comments (notes to yourself) by prefixing the line with a semicolon. For example, the previous alias could be written like such-
/hop { As you can see, a few lines have been inserted, with informative messages. They are prefixed with semicolons. mIRC will ignore these lines- they will not have any effect on the code. Comments are very useful for making notes to yourself, describing what the code is doing, etc. These tutorials will use comments heavily to note what the scripts are doing. Also note how a blank line was added. Blank lines do not affect the script in any way. |
