IRAQ VIDEOS

(c) by Mojo & J.G.B.

Here you can download a selection of videoclips from Iraq. They are meant to give an impression of what it's like to visit Iraq. They have been recorded by J.G.B. and cut and reformatted for online use by Mojo. You may download the movieclips for your personal use but we strongly object to any commercial use.

How to view the movies:
The videoclips are in AVI (audio-video interleave) format. AVI is a Windows video format and the clips can be viewed with Windows Media Player (recommended version 6 or higher) or other suitable players (e.g. The Playa). The player should open in a separate window when you click on the links below. In order to save the videos on your hard disk, select "File - Save As" in the player window. Right-clicking on the links and saving the videoclips from the context menu ("Save target/link as ...") will only work with some of the movies and is not recommended.

Multimedia Newbies: Attention!
The videos have been compressed using the DivX 5.0.2 codec. As far as I know this is the best compression method that requires only free software - and I don't want to buy expensive software just to process these few clips. If your player tries but fails to download decompression software, and cannot play the clips, you have not yet installed this codec. Download it here or read more about it here!

MORE ABOUT IRAQ

Note: Most of the videoclips are hosted on other servers. Click on the links to learn where they are. It may seem strange that related clips are on different pages, but this is due to filesize and diskspace restrictions. Each clip is stored in a way that allows you to download it with maximum speed and reliability plus a minimum of annoying banner ads and popups.
