EVPs: GOOD OR BAD?? February 4, 2008
A lot of people have tried doing EVP work either a seasoned investigator or a homeowner just curious
of the noises he/she hears in their home. And even though I am fairly new as a new investigator myself, I realize that I have to be very coutious when doing EVP work. People always ask the question "if I try some EVP work, how dangerous can it be?" Well the answer to that is..... No one knows for sure. At least I'm not claiming to know for sure. People call themselves experts on EVPs yet know one can prove that EVPs are legitamate proof of the paranormal. I'm not claiming to be an expert, I'm only giving you my opinion. And my opinion is that if you mess around with EVPs too much, something could happen. Whether it's bad or good, something could happen. The concern is that you might leave yourself open to attacks or open a portal to communicate with other spirits. The most likely is that you will open a portal for other spirits to communicate with you. This could in return allow them to stick around your house. If that is something that you don't want, I suggest you limit yourself to the amount of EVP work you do. If you don't want to do that, say at the beginning of a session that you don't want to talk to anyone but the person who is already here. Just be careful when doing EVP sessions and make it clear that you want to talk to the person already here, not someone else. Like I said before, this is only my opinion and not the truth. You will run into a lot of people with a lot of different opinions about EVPs. They're not wrong, and they're not right. Just follow what you believe, but be very careful. Most importantly, have some common sense! Don't invite other spirits in because that couls lead to demons or negative entities to come in. Don't say I didn't warn you! - Marcelleno D. co-founder of IPR http://www.geocities.com/iprparanormal 2008-02-05 01:50:07 GMT
