FOR THE NEW INVESTIGATORS OUT THERE..........January 28, 2008
There are many people in this world that believe that ghosts, spirits, bigfoot, loch ness monster etc
exist. And with so many TV shows popping up, its hard to not believe. But what about the skeptics out there? Instead of focusing on the big picture, we all usually take one side or another. From a skeptics standpoint, they seem to dismiss every single piece of evidence put forth. Skeptics never seem to say something is unexplainable (and I can say that because I personally know a skeptic, my brother. Although he is now starting to believe after joining our group...). Skeptics USUALLY try to give a reasonable explanation for something that happened without even thinking that maybe, just maybe it could be something else. Now I'm not saying that being a skeptic is bad, because we all need a little skeptism in us, but what I'm saying is that we need a little of both. You can't just believe everything you see, and you can't just dismiss everything you see. You need to balance it out and be a little of both. Look for logical explanations first but don't automatically rule out anything paranormal. For every experienced investigator, this is just a review, you know this already. But for the new ones out there I say the most important part of being a great investigator is to be both a believer and a skeptic at the same time. Once you start investigating, you'll know what i'm talking about. Like I always say... We need to come in as not a believer, but not as a skeptic either. 2008-01-29 00:16:30 GMT
