We are builders of aircraft, auto, armor, figure, ship, sci-fi and warhammer scale models.
We are one of three IPMS/USA chapters in Louisana. What is IPMS/USA? It is the Internation Plastic Modeler Society. Being a chartered chapter, this enables us to meet and learn from scale modelers from around the country.
Membership in IPMS/USA is not required to join SWAMP, but it is encouraged.
SWAMP host an annual scale modeling contest. We are proud to kick off the Contest season every year here in cajun country. We draw contestants from Louisiana, Texas, Oklahoma and Florida.
In 2006, SWAMP will host it's 20th consecutive CALMEX contest. It shoud be a great event.
In 2004, SWAMP hosted the IPMS Region 6 Convention and Contest.
Personally, SWAMP members compete in local and regional contest, Regional and National Conventions.
