This is your basic direct damage spell. It also has a 50% Life tap ability with it. Meaning that when you steal life, you gather a portion of that life back from the monster. It does a significant amount of damage. I currently have the Increased Essence Consumption with 25 points buffed in Body, dealing 180-210 damage not counting a critical hit to a yellow con player. Keep in mind, monsters generally have better resists then players. Do not confuse it with your Essence Manipulation line.

This is an awesome line for solo, grouping and RvR. Depending on which of these spells you have will depend on the duration and effectiveness of it sticking to the target, so always use your best one. It costs an insignificant amount of Power to really notice. This spell reduces the targets movement by 99% for 30-60 seconds. This does not seem like a long time, but you can easily dispatch an add in that amount of time. Its the next best thing to a mez. The monsters can still cast and shoot an arrow with this spell, though. If they are damaged by any kind of attack, the reduction is instantly removed.
CAUTION: A note to go with this spell. Casting it the first time will have full effectiveness. Casting it a second time on the monster will reduce the duration by half. Each subsequent casting on a monster will further reduce the duration by half. So first cast lasts for 30-60 seconds. Second cast lasts for 15-30 seconds, third cast is for 7-15 seconds, and so on.

This is a great debuff. I rarely use it, but I know a lot of people who do. Keep in mind that Sorceror's and Infiltrators might be using this ability too, and if they are, they will not stack. It reduces the damage output on a monster quite a bit. Great for monsters you know who are going to hit hard. However, if you are using Damage Shield on your pet, and want them to do more damage, do not use this spell. I have once used it to cause someone's lvl 5 alt inside a fort repairing the door incapable of moving due to the wood he was carrying when we broke down the door. This is a very rare case though. Rarely will someone be stupid enough in RvR to be nearly encumbered. =)
