Ed Belfour Says Goodbye

Dallas, Texas --
Jon Sim put an end to the season that saw the Presidents' Trophy Winning, Washington Capitals capturing a league record 55 wins.  But in the end, Kolzig was no match for the future hall of famer Ed Belfour, who stopped 31 shots in game six of the Stanley Cup finals.

Ed Belfour in his final IPFHL Game.

Through his career as a Blackhawk, Shark, and finally a Star, Ed Belfour managed to accumlate 432 wins playing 827 games taking into account close to 48,000 minutes on the ice.  He allowed just under 2000 goals in his 827 games, allowing for a respectable 2.48 GAA.  He had over 21,000 saves and a save percentage of 90.7.  He had 67 regular season shutouts.

His playoff stats were similarly impressive with 182 playoff games, and a record of 104-73, 11000 minutes and 402 goals allowed, equating to a 2.13 GAA.  He had 16 playoff shutouts

Belfour's Chicago #30 that will always be etched
in the minds of the faithful in Chicago.

Ed Belfour was without a doubt one of the most prolific goalies in the game, and without a doubt, his presence will be missed.  He is also this week's player of the week.

Commish's Office, Florida --
I would like to thank anyone who has kept with this and allowed me to improve the IPFHL for the better, however, we now need to get the draft and the choosing of various new additions to the league.  These additions to the league include the choosing of a coaching strategy, coach, your presceptive draft picks, and free agents that you would like to add to your lists.  As soon as we get all 30 slots filled in, we will start the pre-season alterations.

Commish.
