Vice President - Compliance
Job description
- Responsible for statutory and internal compliance & assist in improving internal controls and efficiency of the system
- Establish, implement and monitor compliance policies
- Liaise with internal and external auditing bodies including statutory audits to coordinate and ensure corrective actions are undertaken
- Provide legal advise on clients and compliance issues and liaise with company lawyers
- Involve in Compliance review programme for the department
- Provide training to staff in compliance matters
The Person
- Degree in Accountancy and Business Administration with at least 5 years' compliance/ risk amnagement experience in the stockbroking industry
- A good understanding of the regulations governing the securities industry
Salary : $5,000 - $6,000/ month
Associate - Static Data Control
Job description
- Ensure the successful implementation of the Straight through Processing (STP) Project
- Very familiar with the commission structures and business process (a/c opening, settlements, CDP/ bank linkages, etc) of the securities industry.
- Familiar with ATS 400 and able to run query reports.

Job description
- Assist the Financial Controller in all aspects of the Group's taxation and GST matters, including compliance and advisory matters covering corporate tax, individual tax, GST and tax review/ planning.
- Assist the Finance Manager in all accounting functions of the company including maintaining the full sets of books.
- Prepare and report monthly financial statements; corporate tax and GST filing and compliance; fund management and liaising with auditors.
- Ensure adherence to Group Finance Policy and that controls are in place.
- Assist in group consolidation of accounts, mergers and acquisitions and due diligence functions.
The Person
- Degree in accountancy or equivalent, preferably CPA; Min 3 yrs post qualification experience; Able to work independently, self motivated and technically sound; Able to provide leadership & supervision to the accounting staff; well versed in computer software toolss especially MS Office (Word, Excel and Powerpoint); Knowledge of Hypersion and SAP systems will be an advantage; Experience in group consolidation, cash flow and EVA will also be an advantage
