I.P.D.L Mission Statement
The purpose of the I.P.D.L is to promote specific goals for all protection
K9 teams. Whether it be an active service k9 team or a civilian k9 team.
Our objective is to establish specific guidelines and regulations for all
protection dog trainers and handlers.The scenarios will be challenging,
exciting, and rewarding. Our protection and obedience scenarios are geared
for real life practicle use and emphasize courage and team work. They will
demand control for the k9 and patience on the part of the handler.
The I.P.D.L stresses the importance of proper socialization, control and
safety.There will be no unsafe conduct tolerated at any trial held by the
I.P.D.L. Any member, will at all times hold the up most regard for safety
and not be careless or reckless in his training.
Our goal is to condition the dog and handler to react and respond reliably
regardless of the circumstances.Especially those times that prove to have
less then favorable conditions.We will post all scenarios that will be
in a trial so that all teams can train evenly and without the risk of unfair
practices.
We promote strong structure and stiff Guidelines for all that train and
handle working dogs. "International Protection Dog League" trials
and certifications are based on decades of experience from experts in the
field.
