IPC PLAY-OFF POINTS

Wild Card Playoff

On Tuesday, June 17, 2003 at 8:00 PM Eastern Standard Time, Nos. 17 through 32 on the IPC Top 40 list are invited to meet in IPC Tourney Room #2 for the Wild Card round of the playoffs.

If any eligible player(s) cannot show up on time then the position(s) will be filled from the next highest points scorer(s) in attendance.

Partners and opponents will be randomly drawn by the host.

Format will be three 8 hand games with no points limit. If a team reaches 500 points before the 8th hand at least one player from each team needs to keep score manually and teams will reseat. Play will continue until the 8th hand has been completed. Points from the first table will be added to the second table and the total points reported to the host.

Wild Card qualifiers will be determined by the total amount of points scored, with the top 4 points scorers advancing to the Championship round.

Championship Playoff

On Wednesday, June 18, 2003, at 8:00 PM Eastern Standard Time, Nos. 1 through 16 on the IPC Top 40 list and the 4 Wild Card qualifiers are invited to meet in IPC Tourney Room #2 for the Championship round of the playoffs.

If any eligible player(s) cannot show up on time, then the position(s) will be filled from the next highest points scorer(s) in attendance from the Wildcard Playoffs.

Partners and opponents will be randomly drawn by the host.

Format will be three 8 hand games with no points limit. If a team reaches 500 points before the 8th hand at least one player from each team needs to keep score manually and teams will reseat. Play will continue until the 8th hand has been completed. Points from the first table will be added to the second table and the total points reported to the host.

The session champion will be the player with the highest total points for the three games. The winner will receive a one-year free membership in Igames.
