Biography
Born 1968 in Wales, Ian studied at RWCMD, where he was also winner of the 'Franz Liszt' and Two Piano competitions, and 'Franz Liszt' Academy of Music, Germany. He also studied with Sorin Enachescu, Professor at the Berlin Academy of Art, Germany and visited many Master Classes including Peter Donohue and Michael Ponti at the Cardiff Festival, Bernd Glemser at the Salzburg International Summer Academy, Mozarteum, Austria and Weimarer International Music Courses with Peter Feuchtwanger. Ian has also been a participant at the International Hugo Wolf Academy Master Classes, Stuttgart with Gerard Souzay.
Ian has performed as a Soloist, Chamber Musician and Accompanist. Concerts at the Royal Albert Hall, London and as a Soloist at St. Davids Hall, Cardiff with the tenor Dennis O'Neill. Other performances and tours in Europe include Holland, Austria, Poland, Denmark, Cyprus, Britain and Germany. Ian has also recorded for Television Cyprus, BRT.
As a Chamber Musician, Ian has worked with Soloists of the Berlin Symphony Orchestra, Philharmonie of the Nations and Comic Opera, Berlin.
As a teacher, Ian was appointed Senior Instructor at the Eastern Mediterranean Univrsity, Cyprus, tutor at the University of Wales, Newport, and RWCMD Junior Music.
Ian was also recently invited to give workshops and Guest Lectures.
