I WANNA HERB LIKE KOOKER!!!!
Well now you can. With this simple tutorial for WOW-TBC  I can teach you how to run the underground herb market and never have to worry about gold again.
******WARNING!!!!!******
 
This tutorial is NOT for someone who does not have their epic flying mount.
1. Netherstorm.
Netherstorm is by far my favorite place to herb and it's simple, because you can make good money from it, and here's why:

1. Netherbloom - People are lazy, they don't want to fly all the way out there to get it. It's easy to pick and a patch fixed that you only recieve buffs and no longer debuffs.
1 stack of Netherbloom ranges from 20-30g.

2. Fel Lotus - I find it the most in this region.
1 Fel Lotus ranges from 8-20g.

3. Mote of Mana - Makes primal mana and primal mana is used in a lot of crafted goods. It comes when you pick Netherbloom, much like primal life, so no killing mobs needed. Almost all dps classes need this, so there's always a demand for it.
1 primal mana ranges from 15-20g.

4. Mote of Life - Pretty much comes off almost every herb no matter what section of Outland you are in, but it's always nice that it's there.
1 Primal Life ranges from 6-12g.

5. Golden Sansam - Really only Hellfire and Netherstorm have any good picks when it comes to Golden Sansam. You need this for exlirs and it's one a lot of healers use.
1 stack of Golden Sansam ranges from 13-20g.

6. Abundance - Netherstorm is a big place. There are herbs everywhere.

Negative
1. When there are mobs next to a herb it's usually not a few. So fearing/etc. won't really help.

2. Terokkar Forest
It's a good place for a newbie and an experienced herber to farm.

1. Terocone - It's the best place in Outland for Terocone. Most dps melee and hunters need it for haste potions.
1 stack of Terocone ranges from 17-25g.

2. Mote Life - It strikes again. This is the place that is the true champion of mote of life. While there's a lot that falls off the herbs you pick there is an even bigger amount of it that falls off the elite tree mobs up in skettis.
1 Primal Life ranges from 6-12g.

3. Skettis - The 71-72 elite trees need to be nerfed!
They drop: Ancient Lichen, Black Lotus, Dreaming Glory, Felweed,  Mana Thistle, Mote of Life, & Terocone.
1 stack of Ancient Lichen ranges from 18-28g.
1 Black lotus ranges from 5-12g
1 stack of Felweed ranged from 10g-12g.
1 stack of Dreaming Glory ranges from 15-23g.
1 stack of Mana Thistle ranges from 19-30g.
1 Primal Life ranges from 6-12g.
1 stack of Terocone ranges from 17-25g.

4. Bleeding Hollow Ruins - It's a nice place which I have seen drop a decent amount of Fel Lotus.
1 Fel Lotus ranges from 8-20g.

Negative
1. Invisible mobs suck. They are low level and easy to get away from, but it's annoying.
2. Area is small enough that you will pass up the respawn clock.
3. Skettis elite trees are not solo-farmable for a non dps class and possibly a rogue.
3. Shadowmoon Valley
It's the place of weapon oil. And the ONLY place to get Nightmare Vine.

1. Nightmare Vine - Obviously the #1 reason. It's a great herb that sells. Period.
1 stack of Nightmare Vine ranges from 25-37g.

2. Nightmare Seed - Tanks need it and it's great for pvp.
1 stack of Nightmare Seed  is around 50g or 2g per.

Negative
1. At times you can rape the place and other times you will only come out with 17 nightmare vine and 1 dreaming glory.
2. The purple bird mobs are annoying and travel in packs, but they are avoidable if you don't want the terocone.
3. The amount of mobs you need to kill to get to 1 Nightmare Vine at times is ridiculous.
4. Nagrand
It's the main place of Dreaming Glory.

1. There's nothing really special about this place. I can honestly say it's my least favorite out of my top 4.

Negative
1. It's too big with not enough herbs.

Warlocks and Shadow priests rape these.
Hunters have a good time as well.

Skettis has no quota per run, it's all random herb drops, although Mote of Life drops everytime. However, it appears that Dreaming Glory is common.

01. Avoid all mobs (use fears,etc - pick herb then run - killing the mob wastes time)
02a. All herbs contain Fel Lotus. Use the "No Herb Left Behind" rule.
02b. However, if it's surrounded by mobs it's not worth your time.
03. Use the mailboxes wisely. Always have a herb bank you can send herbs to. Nothing is
      worse than doing well then running out of bag space, coming back and not finding anything.
04. Avoid Auction Houses. Use Trade chat or the list of people below.
05. Keep your friends close, but keep your enemies closer. Know who herbs on the server and
     keep track where they are. If you have room on your friends list add them and stay away from
     that area until they leave.
      (Evard - farms Skettis, Lamia - farms Tek/Nag, Rognarrock - farms Tek/Nag/NS,
      Whozurdaddy-Wthdude's alt - farms everywhere, but not often)
06. Your are not a jerk if you jack someone else's herb, even if they are of the same faction. It's
      not your fault they suck. But it's not worth the time spent to kill them to get it.
07. *** You might think a mp3 playlist will help you in herbing when in fact it does the opposite.
            Listening to the same songs over and over will just make you hate herbing, what you need
            to do is be in vent and talk to people while you herb. This will take your mind off what
            you have to do.


BAG SPACE

It is quite vital you do not use your main toon's bank as a holding section for herbs. If you have 1 herbing bag (20 or 24 slot) in your main bank that is fine, but no more. If you are going to get heavy into herbing you need to make 3 or 4 toons that are just herb banks. You also need to buyout all the bank slots in each bank as well, or most of them. You also need to separate the herbs into different banks, this will help you out later. It might get annoying to sign on and off each bank when selling, but it is worth it in the long run.
Make sure you have a mass mail mod as well.

The 24 slot herb bags are the key. If you do not use the 24 slot herb bag you should use the 16 slot Netherweave Bag, because the mats are easy (the 20 slot herb bag mats are lame and require you to do a repeatable quest to get some Morrowgrain in Un Goro). DO NOT MAKE THE IMBUED NETHERWEAVE BAG! for holding herbs. It's a waste of mats.DO NOT MAKE A PRIMAL MOONCLOTH BAG! for holding herbs. That is a terrible waste of mats. The regular 16 slot Mooncloth Bag (pre bc) is one of the best bags to use, because it's not soulbound and you can trade it around your other banks when you get 24 slotters made. You can also do this with the 14 slot Runecloth Bag when you first start out because they are cheap to buy in the Auction House.
