I Want to Get Off Now
Faster. Faster. I screamed and shrieked in joy.
You obliged, spinning round and round
Turning in circles, increasing your speed.
I held your hands as tightly as I could
But You still let me go.
Harder. Harder. I demanded and shouted.
Our oars in the water, driving away the tide
Together in sync, moving the boat swifty.
The drive was unmatched by the competition
But We still lost the race.
The wants and needs of the here and now
Are never truley fufilled in the long run.
We try to capture the moment, prolong its effects
Mourn its loss when it is suddenly taken away
A dream disolved by the morning sun . . .
