finally i have a new group of photos in the album, check out the manchester united soccer game photos. the atmosphere was great, but the game was a little slow moving until the end. tonight i am heading to shaumburg to catch the first pro cricket game in chicago. it should be pretty interesting with the the shorter rules.

yesterday work was really, really, really slow so everyone cut out at 4 to hit up the bar for our assistant director's last day. the people i work with are a fun group, and i have about a month to figure out where i am going to work for the next few years.

last night was spent watching mike tyson beat the living out of danny williams in the first two rounds. then tyson weakend, twisted his knee and took 6 upper cut-right hook combinations in a row. tyson got knocked out pretty bad. i wonder if he will ever be able to fight again, i am sure there will be a rematch.

i have to apologize to people who have been checking the site for the last 11 days with me adding nothing new. things have been really busy and it probably won't slow down until after september. on friday i received a job offer from my current place of temping. it would not become a full employee until after my 90 day temp period, so i have time to make some decisions. to think a year ago i had zero luck finding a job.

last night was spent watching the sox beat down the tigers on rat pack night. it was pretty cool having a fake sinatra sing after the game, and parachuters fly into the stadium. all in all it was a good time and the sox won!

tomorrow i am getting ready to watch some quality european soccer. manchester united is taking on byren munich at soldier field. should be a great time, and the crowd should be crazy. also next saturday i am heading to the first procricket game for the chicago tornadoes. i can't wait real live cricket action.

so work has kept me so busy that i have not had time to update the site. things have been pretty busy lately. the shockers won their first softball game on sunday. i went to see anchorman last night, will farrell is the funniest man alive. sunday night went to see the united states play poland in soccer. we were about the only usa fans i a stadium packed with polska fans. for the last two weeks i have been temping downtown. i hate getting comfortable at a job then having to leave it. last week i also got a job offer for a position that starts in september. so as you can see little time for the site.

hopefully i will have some new photo galleries up soon. my camera has been collecting dust lately. later this month i am going to head out to the chicago pro cricket teams 1st match. the league is new this year and it should be a blast, i have yet to see cricket in person, plus it would make for an interesting photo op. plus millenium park is openning in a few more days, it only took what 8 years to build.

cubs win, cubs win! last night to celebrate our nation's birthday mitch, his brother, a few of his brothers friends went to the cub v. sox game at wrigley. to put it in words the atmosphere was as tense as a playoff game. people were cheering back and forth at each other, white sox fans were getting arrested, and cubs fans really didn't know much about anything else but the cubs. for the last two innings of the game no one could sit down. it seemed every pitch could make or brake the game, and it did. how could some one walk in the game winning run? the funniest sight of the night was watching cub fans sweep the ground in front of sox fans as they walked through the streets after the game. it was simple the greatest baseball game i have ever been at. ditka singing the 7th inning stretch was also a plus.

do people celebrate the 4th of july anymore? tonight is evergreen park's parade and fireworks. tomorrow is the taste of chicago fireworks. i guess ridge country club might have theirs on the 4th. it seems every year i am more excited about hearing the 1812 overture while fireworks go off on the 3rd than i am the actual 4th of july. i just find it odd, well at least it makes the whole weekend fun.

things for me have picked up, my life the last few days has been similar to the basement jaxx song where's your head at. katie (sis) had her 21st birthday last tuesday night, so we went to cork and kerry. after having a few drinks and being out until 11 it was time for bed, yes that was early. i had to start a new temp job with a media company downtown so i needed rest.

first days on the job are normally horrible, this one wasn't. the company took me out for lunch on them to some italian place on wacker. plus i was only able to do about an hour of real work because i still do not have computer access. the company also had breakfast for everyone yesterday morning. the biggest plus was no work friday or monday, what a great time to start work. after day 1 at the new temp position i got off the rock island, walked home and got a phone call from jeff.

a group was heading to the taste so i said i would head back to the city. i was home for all of about 10 minutes. the taste is always a blast and the food was great. i had some fried alligator, toasted ravioli and eli's cheese cake for about 10 bucks. although it is great food it is freaking expensive, a taste portion is $1.50.

last night started the ep all-star baseball season, and sean's team won 19-14. the field is so small that any pop up is a potential homer. now i know what it would be like to watch a game a coors field.
