| ICSL Fall 06 League Rules:
I. Fouls/Disciplinary Rules Fouls will be called at the discretion of the referees. Don't complain: It's a rec league. Cards will likewise be given at the discretion of the referees. If shown a red card, a player must sit out the rest of that game and the next game. This rule will be enforced by the players own team and team captain. If the team captain does not sit the player for the next game, the team will forfeit the game for which the carded player should not have played. If this happens twice, the team will be removed from the league and no team fees will be refunded. Also, if anyone on a team gets a red card, the team will lose one point in the standings. II. Rules on Short-Sided Teams A. A full side constitutes 11 players (10 field players and 1 goalie) B. A team must field 7 players to play a game. C. If a team does not field 7 players, the opposing team has a couple options 1. Accept a forfeit from the short sided team, take three points, and play a friendly with mixed teams OR 2. Play out the game with unequal sides under normal rules D. If a team fields between 7 and 11 players, its up to the other team to decide how may players they will field. The team with a full side is not required to play short sided, but they may choose to do so for any length of time during the game to make things more fair. III. Injuries and Liability Each player accepts personal liability for his or her actions. Although it is a rec league, injuries will likely happen. By signing this form, each team captain acknowledges that: 1) he or she has had each player sign the release sheet, 2) he or she will not allow players to play without signing a form, 3) he or she will not allow players to play without shin guards or proper equipment to be determined by the referees, and 4) he or she will regulate his or her teammates actions according to league rules, including, but not limited to regulation of carded players. By signing this form, each team captain assumes responsibility for his or her team under the league rules. Infractions will be dealt with on a case by case basis and may include penalties such as the forfeit of points, expulsion from the league, and/or appropriation of team fees. IV. Its a Rec League All other league rules should be decided by common sense and/or negotitation between team captains. Once again, all match rules are at the discretion of the referees, including game length, penalties, and cards. |
