GENERAL INFO
God & family are the reasons for my existence, if both don't come first in my life, I honestly don't know where I would be. I am the oldest child of 3, who still remains to be a role model for my younger brother & sister. I have a beautiful daughter, Imani Anyah Peterson. Ms. Imani is my world, she keeps me going everyday. She is my reason for pressing on towards achieving my goals in life.
My mother is my backbone, I have never known any woman who has been through as much as she has and still remained to stay strong. No she is not your typical career-oriented working mother of today. She is the momma who goes outside running up & down the block making sure you get in the house before the street lights go out. She is my mommy and I love her with all my heart.
WHY I JOINED
I joined Zeta after researching other sororities and getting to know those of the other organization. I felt that they were not my cup of tea. I need to be surrounded by "Real Women" people who are true to themselves at all times, in any situation, with God whom they put 1st and whom is always by their side. Since I saw that in Zeta, that's what I chose to be, a "Finer Woman" of the Zealous Z-Phi-B.
THE IMPACT ZETA HAS HAD ON MY LIFE
Being a young dove I always knew that the ladies of Z-Phi-B were always true. I am a witness of what life could be when you share your tears & laughter with sorors in Z-Phi-B. I can share my ups & downs knowing that my sorors will always be around. They're neither phony nor fake to say the least; they're just my sorors who are oh so sweet. Whenever I need anything I know who to call, because my brothers of Phi Beta Sigma would never let me fall. So if you can't tell by words how I feel, then maybe you need to experience the light of Zeta (the sorors who always keep it real). |
