Introduction: What has the main control over your life? When you need to make a decision, is the decision being made with all wisdom in the Lord? Many Christians in this day and age follow their own priorities. They make decisions based on their own philosophies. Their priorities are very different from God's priorities and the fruit of their lives show that. The Bible says that there are not many wise in the earth, but, thank God, there are still a few. Even if we need to learn more of wisdom, we can begin right now by trusting God for greater revelation and for a manifestation of His wisdom in our lives. Proverbs 1:5 says a wise man will hear and increase in learning, and a man of understanding will find wise counsel. In order to increase in learning and understanding of wisdom, we must have a pliable heart, be teachable and have a childlike spirit. Proverbs 9:9,10 says give instruction to a wise man, and he will be still wiser. Our ability to receive instruction is a measuring rod of how wise we are and of how wise we can be. We can be some of the wise that are in the earth, or we can be some of the foolish. It takes growing in wisdom by deepening our personal relationship with Jesus Christ and allowing him to teach us. It takes relying on the wisdom of Jesus in our home, business, personal and church decisions.
