A Canadian tribute to those who give their lives in the fight for freedom and choice.
A.N. Winters (seated bottom row) was the son of (Dad) Silas Winters - brother of our John Wesley.  He migrated to Aberdeen Saskatchewan and after the death of our Grandmother Eliza Sarah Downard Winters, Silas and his wife Annie followed their son.  Arthur was a well respected local businesman and joined the army during the First World War.    He reached the rank of Lieutenant .  Arthur died during the war and is buried in France.  His parents then moved to Camrose, Alberta where their only remaing child was living.  I know according to his army records that Arthur had a wife named Laura and a son named John Longwell Winters.  I tracked John to British Columbia and then he disappeared into the USA.
Cousin Lynn sent me this and it was something cousin Jimmy had never seen.  Apparently Uncle Ernie actually had appendicitis that needed immediate surgery and the army lost him for awhile.  He recovered and went right back into the war.
Who knew that Dora the Explorer was one of Aunt Phyllis's great-grandchildren????  I think there is a resemblance!  Here she is with her other grandbabies!  If you don't know by know she loves to get e-mail folks so keep it coming.
I was delighted to get these beautiful photographs from cousin Linda in Ontario!  Her grandbabies are truly beautiful!
We have pagents here too in BC but they are just a little bit different .....
My sister's girls won for most colorful and original headress!
My grandsons won for best attitude when Grandma told them they absolutely could not kill the poor frog!
This page is a work in progress so check back often!  Please e-mail me pictures or articles we can all share!  Drop me a note to let me know you have been here!
