The British Columbia gang got together September 6-9, 2007 and enjoyed their time at Kawkawa Lake. This tiny B.C. gem is located two hours outside of Vancouver just through the little town of Hope. The weather was beautiful but all of us agreed it was the time we spent with each other that made this such a wonderful weekend. We are hoping to make the weekend after the long weekend a yearly reunion and invite all of you to join us same time next year! Click on any picture to go to the Kawkawa Lake Campground site. Our deepest thanks to the campground managers Marilyn and Wayne for putting up with us! "Click on any photo on this page to go to the on-line campground site" |
| "What I remember the most from my youth is how much fun it meant to me to be with cousins. It gave me a sense that my family was something important. Every year on holidays my aunts, uncles and their children all gathered at my grandparent's house. I could hardly wait until that day came. We played, ate and had so much fun together. I can close my eyes and still feel the love and joy of those times. My aunts, uncles and cousins have affected my life in such positive ways." |
| We had the group site and most camped together there. The site was organized with the campfire located at the top end and away from other campers so the level of noise from our group was buffered a bit. |
| Above is a picture of the site from the dock. We were camped on the group site but it will now be changed into four sites to make it easier for the managers to regulate the campground rules. About forty family members and close friends attended. Some came Thursday - most Friday and some came and left! (L) A picture of the firepits being set up. Stephen brought a half cord of wood in and we burned almost every twig! It was cool in the morning and at night but in the afternoon it was hot! |

| A big thank you is owed to Cousin Steve who was the one who called this get-together (he's the one chowing down!) Brenda is the one responsible for the photo's we see here but I cannot tell you who took the picture of her enjoying the ocean!. Cousin Lawrie was the site supervisor (hard at work with the generator) and was determined we would enjoy ourselves no matter what the weather turned out to be. |
| Cousin Brent caught the largest cut throat trout taken from the lake in years! |

| "Let us take a stroll down memory lane; Where we can pretend to be quite young again. The little ones who bring us laughter and cheer, And all the sounds of happiness we hold so dear." |
"When we were young we used to sing And we could feel the harmony. You'd sit there waiting in the wings How long have you been waiting to let your light shine? Many years have gone since then Seen us go our different ways. But now we sit here once again Tonight we're gonna sing out - tonight our light will shine." |
