One of the best memories I had growing up was the Santa Party my grandparents held at their home every year in Winnipeg. It is a tradition I carried on when my children were born and almost every year there has been a "Santa Party" at my home. There were at times about eighty people (adults and kids!) that would attend this yearly event. It really got out of hand and last year my daughter Leanna suggested we keep it to family only. It was the best suggestion ever given as it was one of the only times every child in the room was related to each other! Cousins met cousins and older cousins had the chance to visit! My step-daughter Janice did some wonderful crafts with the kids and all contributed to a wonderful pot luck dinner.
It started about four and was over by eight with happy kids on their way home with their treasures from Santa. Imagine Grandma and Grandpa having enough pull to have the big guy actually come to our house! If you are a member of my Winters / Prout trees - then you too are related to everyone you see in these pictures.
I need to give my special thanks and love to my darling daughter Leanna - step-daughter Janice and to everyone who attended. Cam and I hope to see you all again next year and help us make this a yearly Family event! The food was great, the company grand and the memories made - priceless!
