Vote Below the Line

My fourth election song, performed on ABC Local Radio Brisbane on 15 November 2007, encouraging listeners to take the time to complete their full list of preferences on the Senate ballot paper. After this song was performed on air, the station received a complimentary phone call from Democrats Senator Natasha Stott-Despoja, which I think was her way of saying that she’d heard the Democrats lament two weeks previously.

you can't let someone else make up your mind,

so vote below the line in the Senate baby,

number one to sixty-five just how you feel.

You can vote for What Women Want if you only like the ladies,

or for Revenue Review if you hate the poor,

or the Shooters Party if you hate everybody equally,

but in proportional representation,
