ABU BAKAR BASHIR

 

Composed in March 2005 one Friday evening after Abu Bakar Bashir, spiritual leader of Jemaah Islamiyah, was sentenced to only 30 months in prison for masterminding the Bali bombings. That’s just 4.13 days per murder!

 

Abu Bakar Bashir – it’s so good to see ya!

Sit down and relax while I get you a beer-ya.

Oh, that’s right; you don’t drink. Well, no need to pike.

We’ll do something else. So, what would you like?

 

Now, you don’t see movies; you don’t watch TV;

you don’t like to see people shop duty-free;

you don’t like nightclubs; you don’t like beaches;

you don’t like those moderate Islamic teachers;

 

you don’t like it when women show any skin;

you won’t water-ski and you can’t stand to swim;

you don’t want to bushwalk; you’d rather not run;

but you do like to blow things up – great! Well, that’s one!

 

You don’t ride a bike and you don’t like to dive;

you don’t like Australia – and you don’t have a life.

Abu Bakar Bashir, I think that’s just it.

No wonder you hate us – you’re boring as shit!
