[Cut to the Officials Office Darien following the Official into the office they both sit down in their respective seats Hobbes stands off to one side]

Darien: My invisibility is on the fritz and I want off this case, why is that a problem?

Official: Son, just because you dropped the ball doesn't mean there isn't going to be a second half.

[Darien gets up and leans over the desk to look at the Official]

Darien: Ok you know what your not getting it here Ok? Game Over. We are messing with a traumatized kid here and I mean I could permanently fff....... Ok this whole mission is evil.

The Official: Evil Shmevil you were all gung ho yesterday

Darien: I will never be gung ho about anything this Agency ever does!

Official: Fine. Hobbes, you take the kid!

Darien: Hobbes?!?

Hobbes: I'll get it out of her!

[Darien looks at Hobbes and gets a hopeless look on his face]

[Cut to the Keepers lab Where Darien is following Claire around the lab]

Darien: Well Yeah she's a little girl. I mean I'm not going to subject her to that bi-polar James Bond. You gotta fix me.

Claire: Did you break yourself already?

[Claire walks past the full fish tank Darien follows]

Darien: No no no no no the wonder gland is busted and I need to use it .....alot

Claire: Relax, this happens to a lot of men!

Darien: Oh really they can't go invisible that's interesting.

Claire: They can't deal with their emotions. Were you experiencing strong emotions when you last tried to Quicksilver.

Darien: Why?

Claire: Because the gland sits in the part of you brain that generates emotional response and its still learning how to processes those signals.

Darien: wait a minute Are you saying the gland has a learning problem?

Claire: As far as that gland knows your still a baby. It takes a babies 15 months to learn how to talk. . . .Practice your bio feedback, your deep breathing, your meditation If you want to get your Quicksilvering under control you'll have to do the same with your feelings.

Darien: Now why is that? Is because the quicksilver and the emotions don't mix?

Claire: No its because the Quicksilver and your blood stream doesn't mix. You use to much and you reach QuicksilverMadness.

Darien: No biggie just give me a shot of counter agent.

Claire: No, I won't have another one ready for at least 48 hours.

[Darien Starts to realize there is no counteragent and starts to panic].

Darien Whaaa waa.. . . .time out here ...ah ...wait a minute here...you mean. Your out?!? Out??? you mean out? How can you just be out?

Claire: Well it takes time to synthesize formula

Darien: Shouldn't you be making extra I mean you know in case of an emergency. Like Oh I don't know I became a Psychopathic killer.

Claire: Nope it doesn't store well

Darien: Doesn't store well huh? So what am I supposed to do here?

Keeper: Avoid emotions.

Darien: Like you do

Keeper: Hmph. And find an alternative to invisibility.

Darien: Fine

[Cut to a shot of the outside of Jessica's house on a beautiful, sunny day. Then to the inside of the van Darien sit's with his eyes closed meditating. Suddenly the door behind him slams open and Hobbes head pops out]

Hobbes: Hey Hey remember that list of three killers? all foreign Visas been locked down. All political enemies accounted for. Even his old Russian maffia buddies. Whoever capped him is not on the list.

Darien: [Turns slowly to look at Hobbes] You couldn't wait 30 seconds to tell me that.

Hobbes: Oh I'm sorry I just thought you Should know all we got left is the probable witness So don't blow it ..Ralph.

Darien: Look ...Like just give me a five minutes Ok???

Hobbes: Yeah no problem ....I'll be in the back

[After interrupting Darien's meditation, Hobbes claps him on the shoulder and slams the rusty door. Darien
looks back at the camera. Darien takes a deep breath and lets it out. Cut to Jessicas room]

[Invisible Darien hits the Hungry Hungry Hippos game, but Jessica doesn't respond]

Darien: Hey Jess. It's Ralph........Jessica???

Jessica: I'm not suppose to talk to you

Darien: wha.. Your not.... who said so??

Jessica: ....Mommie

Darien: Oh. Well...we're kinda talking now.

Jessica: No we're not.

Darien: Yeah we are!

Jessica: I'm not going to play that game.

[There is a pause here as the camera moves to take in the place where Darien would be siting]

Darien: Hey jess uh Look I'm . . .I'm sorry that ..I let you see me yesterday ....I didn't mean to scare you, it's just...uh....well I kinda actually got scared my self and I you know I had...

Jessica: But that's not how you look!

Darien: Yeah I know... I kinda changed but . .sorry about that. But hey I did think of a way for you to see me and not be scared [Invisible Darien picks up her paint brush and paints two blue streaks on either cheek]

Darien: [handing Jessica the paintbrush] Go ahead, you try.

[Jessica takes the paint brush and starts to paint Dariens face so we can see his facial features]

Darien: Alright I think its time to take this stuff off

[Darien Takes a towel and scrubs at his face as he
de-Quicksilvers he pulls the towel away to show one
last blue dot on his nose and he twitches it off his nose]

Jessica: Ralph, ...you grew up.

Darien: Yeah don't worry, you'll catch up.

Jessica: I'm glad you didn't get hurt in the woods

Darien: yeah I'm glad you didn't get hurt. You know... I really... I didn't even see the man out there that day.

Jessica: It wasn't a man..... It was a monster.

Darien: a monster? You mean like... ahh Like...a cookie monster?

[Jessica gives Darien a "What are you stupid look."]

Darien What???

[As Jessica talks to Darien, she walks to her easel and pulls out a painting of a large mouth covered in leaves and shows it to Darien]

Jessica: It came out of the ground... I was thinking that maybe.... he..... you know....[doorbell sounds in the background] like an evil tree spirt and you might know him from the forest.

Mother: Jessica!!! Frans here

Jessica: OK!!!Yuck! I bet she brought that dumb puppet

Darien: you know what I've been thinking about this I think maybe you should talk to her yeah really I think it might be good I mean just tell her......just tell her everything.

Jessica: Ok

Darien: Can I borrow this??

Jessica: I did one of your home to. [She takes out a picture of the rock formation.]

Darien: Wow!!!

[fade to the same woods as earlier. Darien and Hobbes are walking upn a small hill]

Darien; And she said he came up out of the ground.

Hobbes: Oh yeah Ralphs home huh?

Darien Yeah its where he lives she lets him out with this tiny gold key.

Hobbes: That's a well adjusted child.

[Sits down on the rock formation]

Darien: She has an imagination Hobbes What, you're telling me you never had an invisible friend?

Hobbes: I had invisible enemies.

[Hobbes uses both hands to point out different spots and starts to bring his fingers together]

Darien: What are you doing

Hobbes Shhh!! triangulating

Darien: you what??

Hobbes: Do you mind.....sans shot tweak he'd be shooting from .... right [pulls out the painting an d compares it to the area] over there. Bingo!

[Hobbes starts to walk away]

Darien: Whaaa...

[Hobbes walks up the hill to a mound of leaves and starts to poke around]

Hobbes: There's something right here

[Hobbes finds a piece of the fabric in the brush.]

Darien: Bark?? Burlap???

Hobbes: This is a strip off of a gilly suit.

Darien: And ahh you knew to look for this, how?"

Hobbes: Cause I'm me, Fawkes. Cause that is what the kid drew. . .This isn't a monster, bro. It's a snipers camouflage. There's more then one way to go invisible hot shot. He's a sniper and the bad news is he's good real good This from a camouflage outfit that was covered in dirt and twigs and leaves. Any punk can own a G suit but only a pro could use it like this..... This kid could be in real danger.
