Belthazor is one of Cole Turner's personalities. Although Julian McMahon gets the most credits for these two characters, the man under all the make up of the 6"4' tall Belthazor is no one else than Michael Bailey Smith. He also portrays Shax and several other demons. Michael was born on November 2nd in Alpena, Michigan and is the oldest of six siblings. His father had a career in the Air Force and travelled a lot when Michael was a kid. They moved a lot before settling in Tehran, Iran. It was there that Michael graduated. He was a good athlete at school and his dream was to play football at college. Unfortunately, there were two problems. First of all, he played football in an american school in Iran. Second of all, the chances of him being seen by a recruitor were really bad. Also, he was too skinny. Even though his father's job guaranteed a comfortable life at home, he did not have the luxury to send his kids to college. Michael decided that the best way to go to college and work out his muscles was to join the Army. He wanted to do something in the Army that would make people proud of him, so he volounteered to be a parachuter in the 82nd Airborne Division. The 82nd was one of the most decorated, best trained and most dreaded in the world. He spent three years as a parachuter and travelled around the world. It was a great honor for him to have been a part of the 82nd Airborne Division and it is something he is very proud of.

A friend of Michael's who was very into acting took him to an audition, and even though Michael did not think of auditioning himself, the casting director noticed him and asked him to do so. He got the part of Super Freddy, and that is how is acting career started.

Currently, Michael has been married to Lisa for 7 years, and the happy couple has a 4-year-old son named Bailey after his grandfather. They are also excpecting a new baby soon.
