Zim is an alien from the planet Irk. On his planet, height determines status, and unfortunatly for Zim, he's the shortest. Apparently, that doesn't stop him, seeing as he started up a robot that was supposed to be for some other planet. He ended up stomping his home planet, earning him a banishment to Foodcourtia. However, he "quit" when he heard about Operation: Impending Doom II. Annoyed, the Almighty Tallest sent him off to some planet that they thought was a figment of their imagination, along with a robot assembled in about 30 seconds from garbage. They were very upset, though, when they realized that they had sent Zim to an actual planet! Zim is oblivious to the Tallest, erm, dislike of him, however.
