| Jaken- His name means cruel...Honestly, I don't this he's cruel; annoying and ugly, but never cruel. |
| Kaede- Kaede means maple tree. I have no idea why. |
| Kagome- Kagome is a name in a Japanese game that children play. |
| Kiara- Kiara's name means mica, a type of mineral. |
| Kikyo- Her name means Chinese Bellflower. Why are the name of plants so popular? |
| Miroku- Miroku's name means Maitreya (God of Buddhism). |
| Myouga- His name means 'unnoticed assistance'. |
| Naraku- Naraku's name literaly means 'hell'. That definatly fits his character. |
| Sango- Her name means coral. |
| Sesshoumaru- Sesshoumaru's name means Killing Blade. |
Shippo- His name means Seven Treasures, or Tail.
