Inu-Yasha - A half human, half demon hybrid with doglike ears, silver hair, and golden eyes. His main weapon is the sword Tetsugia which was forged from his father�s fang. He fell in love with the village priestess, who was betrayed by Naraku, She pinned Inu-Yasha to a tree with one of her sealing arrows. The village Priestess died right after firing the arrow, from battle wounds. Inuyasha then stayed pinned to the tree for fifty years before a Japanese school girl named Kagome came to his time and released him from the sealing spell of the arrow. He now travels with Kagome, Miroku, Sango, and Shippo to collect the pieces of the Shikon Jewel which was shattered by Kagome�s Arrow.
Kagome � A Japanese schoolgirl who was transported through a magical well on her family�s shrine, back to the warring era. She then met Inuyasha and released the spell on him but he attempted to attack her. With the help of the current village healer, Kaeda, she got prayer beads around his neck and with the simple word sit, she can stop him in mid air. Believed to be the reincarnation of the village priestess Inuyasha fell in love with, Kikyo. She travels with her friends to find the shards of the Shikon Jewel. She has the power to see Jewel shards, even if hidden inside a demon or human. She is also believed to be a Miko.
Miroku � A lecherous Monk who has a curse passed down from his grandfather. His hand is cursed with the Kazanna (hell hole/wind tunnel). This can be used to suck anything into it, of any size. But if used to much in a short period of time it can clip at the edges and grow wider. He travels with the group to get revenge against Naraku who placed the curse on his grandfather. He also asks every women he meets to bear his child, wishing to have a heir before his kazanna grows to wide and basically implodes himself.
Sango � Sango is a demon exterminator from the village where the Shikon No Tama was first created. Her family and fellow demon exterminators were lured to a mysterious village/castle to exterminate a demon, Only to be viscously killed by Naraku and his demon�s. The only survivor was Sango and her younger brother, Kohaku. Naraku then takes advantage of Kohaku and uses him to blackmail Sango, Kohaku is only staying alive because of a jewel shard imbedded in his back. Naraku erased his memories, making it easier to use him as his puppet in torture against Sango. Sango uses her sword very little, but mainly fights with her Hiraikotsu, a large boomerang type of weapon.
Shippo � A young Kitsune demon orphaned by two demons, the thunder brothers, who�s power was boosted by shards of the shikon no tama. He took to Kagome as a motherly figure, and enjoys tricking Inuyasha. He uses his magic to transform into anything and to battle with, although he usually stays with Kagome during battles. Read More
