A young man, dressed in white robes, with white hair and golden eyes, lay in an open field as it was raining, staring up at the rain. His clothes were completely soaked with water. He didn't hear his mother calling him. It was intentional. He was recalling what he had seen today, which was his family slaughtering helpless villagers to get the food and some supplies from the village. His mother approached him. "Aru, we must go... It is not safe to be here anymore.." His mother said. Aru stood up and looked at her. "And it is your fault. If you, father, and brother, hadn’t slaughtered those poor innocent villagers today, No one would be after us!" Aru yelled at his mother. His mother responded "We needed the food... Now... please calm down..." She spread her arms out to hug Aru. "I love you Aru..." she said softly. Aru, in recoil, grabbed the dagger his mother always had, and stabbed it into her stomach. "You cannot love, and you cannot see what father has turned you into... You have to die..." After those harsh words, His mother died. He then went on to find his brother, intending to kill him. Right as Aru was about to finish his older brother off, he remembered the great times he had spent with his brother, like when they had played when they were younger, and when in the town, the people had made fun of Aru, and his brother had stood up for him. He just started to reconsider not killing his brother, but then it was too late. His hand was in motion, swinging the blade. He tried to stop himself but couldn’t. He couldn’t’ believe that he decapitated his brother. His father escaped with a small wound that was treatable. Aru had been wounded badly in the fight with his father. His older sister, who he had spared for she had done nothing, helped nurse him back to heath. But a year later, Aru found she had been murdered while she was out to get an animal for meat. The dagger used on her was left behind and showed it was his father that had done the deed. Right then, He swore revenge on his father.
(Aru was fighting his father in a fight to the death)
Aru fought greatly with his sword. The sword, although cursed, was a cherished gift from his sister. His father was a much better fighter though. In an instant, Aru was on the ground, too wounded to continue. His father put the tip of the blade of his sword at the back of Aru's head, then pushing down hard, he killed Aru.
((100 years after Aru's death))
Kane, an incarnation of Naraku was in a forest, far outside of Naraku's castle. He was doing Naraku's bidding when he came across a woman dressed in a purple kimono. She held a jar that had 2 animal heads on it. The animal heads were a wolf and a dog. Kane looked at her strangely. "What do you want?" Kane asked. She responded "You are completely evil... You need to change... you work for someone that is too evil and you could be a good person" She chanted something while Kane looked at her like she was crazy. Soon she opened the jar. A soul came out and went towards Kane. Kane's body froze up. He wanted to move, but he couldn’t. The soul entered his body, Kane's eyes flashing gold. The woman disappeared and one of Kane's eyes became gold, the other, was red. Kane then said "Who are you?". He felt silly asking what seemed to be himself. But then he got an answer from his own mouth. "I am Aru... I have come to balance you between good and evil.".
Kane was still trying to give enough reason for Aru to leave the body. Aru still didn’t give in. "Come on! Why the heck would I need someone to tell me if I'm good or not?!" Kane yelled angrily. Aru just replied calmly saying "For the hundredth time, it was not my choice to do this, but it was my duty, so I have to do this until I am told I am relieved of this duty. I did not make this call." Kane sighed angrily and asked "What if I just fake like I'm good when they send someone to see me? will that work?". Aru sighed again and responded calmly "They will weigh your heart to the weight of a feather. If the scale doesn’t balance properly, you'll be condemned to Hell." Kane gave out an exasperated breath "Just great... this is gonna take awhile... so let's get to work now, alright?". Aru responded "Address me by my proper name, thank you..." Aru thought the same thing as Kane had just said “This is gonna take awhile…”.
