[episode 25]
~with Inuyasha and company who are heading north east~
Sango- So why are we going this way?
Inuyasha- I don’t know, ask Alex, he’s the one who knows where we need to go.
(Kagura and Alex are walking a few feet ahead of Inuyasha and the others)
(Sango catches up to them)
Kagura- So what you said after that moth had trapped us, was it true?
Alex- Well yeah, why wouldn’t it be?
Kagura- No reason, I just well….
Alex- You’re having conflicting emotions aren’t you? Its over me and Sesshomaru isn’t it?
Kagura- Well….yeah.
Alex- That’s natural, I already knew that was going to happen. But I can’t help you with that. You have to make the decision, not me.
Kagura- In my dream you said you would respect my choices in life no matter what…
Alex- Its true…its not my choice what you do in life. I’ll understand even if you pick Sesshomaru.
Kagura- But….
Alex- But you feel bad, like you are letting me down, I know. You shouldn’t be worried about what I think. You pick which ever one of us make you the happiest.
Kagura- I….I don’t know what to say.
Sango- Hey Alex, where are we going?
Alex- Northeast.
Sango- That’s obvious, is there and particular place we are going?
Alex- Not really, I’m kind of playing it by ear for now, its Naraku’s move in this game of chess we are in.
Sango- So your waiting on him to make a move?
Alex- Yeah but if he doesn’t move soon, I will.
Sango- What are we going to do?
Alex- Kagura and I have devised a plan to try to capture Naraku so we have a chance of killing him. (Kagura, Alex, and Sango have slowed their pace that way Inuyasha and the other can catch up) (Inuyasha and the other hear the conversation between Sango and Alex)
Inuyasha- So lets hear it already.
Alex- Well, I plan to have everybody ambush Naraku in the Valley of Lost Souls. The Valley of Lost Souls is a valley that spans for miles and is covered in heavy fog and at the most you can only see 5 feet in front of you. If Naraku tries to escape he might get lost and we can catch up to him and kill him.
Inuyasha- How are going to get him to come there?
Alex- Naraku thinks I’m going to lead him to Kaguya, using another one of his traps. See Kagura overheard DJ and Naraku talking about Kaguya and DJ gave me that note last time we met because Naraku told him to. See Naraku doesn’t know that I know what he plans to do and that gives us a good advantage.
Shippo- But wont we get lost in the fog?
Alex- Nope. (Everybody stops as Alex turns around and holds out his hand)
Alex- Here take these. Each one is marked with the owners name. (Alex is holding out what looks like 7 compasses with 2 extra needles) (Everyone takes the one that is marked with their name and they all continue to talk as they walk)
Miroku- So…What’s this for?
Alex- It is in case we get separated. See the red needle? Those point to the person that is most important to you out of us. Sango’s points to Miroku, and vise versa for Miroku’s. Mine points to Kagura, and vise versa for Kagura’s. Inuyasha and Shippo’s points to Kagome and Kagome’s points to Inuyasha.
Kagome- Ok…but what is the white needle for? Its pointing to you, Alex.
Sango- Mine too.
Alex- That one points to me, just in case we need to regroup. Just consider these a memento when I’m gone.
Kagura- Gone?
Alex- Uh…well if I end up dying or leaving for some reason, which I don’t plan to do any time soon.
Inuyasha- I don’t get it though….how did you get them to point to certain people?
Alex- I got a sample of hair or blood, just some sort of DNA from everybody and used alchemy to sync them up.
Shippo- What’s the purple and green needle for?
Alex- The purple points to the south and the green points to the north. The guide is on the back of each one, it will tell you what points to who or what.
Inuyasha- Why didn’t you make one for Naraku so we could hunt him down?
Alex- Do I have to answer that?
Inuyasha- Hmph.
Alex- It’s cause he changes bodies too much so I cant get a constant DNA sample of him.
~that night with Inuyasha and company by a campfire~
Alex- (looks up at the moon and sighs) I forgot already?
Everybody but Alex- Huh?
Kagura- What did you forget?
Alex- It nothing really that bad, I just feel uneasy on the night of the full moon.
Inuyasha- Why? I feel wonderful, since the new moon isn’t coming for a while.
Alex- Well that’s you’re time, but mine is tomorrow.
Kagura- Your time?
Alex- Yeah, every half and part demon has a time when they lose their demonic aura and abilities. Inuyasha’s is on the new moon, mine is the day after the full moon.
Inuyasha in a sarcastic tone- Is the poor baby scared?
Alex- You wish! I don’t hide when my time comes, unlike certain other people.
Inuyasha- I don’t hide.
Alex- Oh yeah? So why don’t you ever fall asleep on the night of the full moon?
Inuyasha- Well….uh…um……
Alex- Save it, just admit you’re scared.
Inuyasha- No, because I’m not.
Alex- Whatever.
Kagura- So what are we going to do about tomorrow and you loosing your demonic powers?
Alex- Nothing, we go on like we planned.
Kagome- But what if you get hurt?
Sango- Yeah, you cant heal as well as you would then, and didn’t you say a normal human cant use your sword?
Alex- Its ok, I’ll be fine guys. I just wont use Inazuma Ryu.
Kagura- Hey what’s that? (points toward the woods) It looks like steam.
Alex- Hey you’re right, maybe it’s a hot spring. (Alex and everybody get up and head toward the steam)
Sango- Hey it is a hot spring.
Kagome- We got firsts.
Alex- Firsts?
Kagome- All the girls go in first.
Alex- Oh, ok. (Alex, Miroku, and Inuyasha turn and walk back to the camp fire)
~With Kagura, Kagome, Sango, and Shippo~
(The girls get undressed and get in the hot spring)
Kagome- Man, this feels good.
Sango- Yeah, we haven’t been this lucky in a while.
(Sango looks at Kagura)
Sango- What’s wrong Kagura?
Kagura- Hmm? Oh its nothing.
Kagome- Aww come on, something is bothering you, I can tell.
Kagura- Well, I….I just feel a bit out of place here.
Kagome- You mean with us?
Kagura- Well….no offense…but yeah. I spent so much time with Naraku trying to kill you guys and now here I am sharing the same hot spring with the ones I’ve tried to kill.
Kagome- That’s ok, we all did something in the past we regret. Its better just to forget about the bad things, and move on.
Kagura- ….But to what?
Sango- Well you have lots of choices in life you can choose any one of them.
Kagome- But I think I know one choice that loves you.
Kagura- You mean….Alex?
Kagome- Yeah, he doesn’t stop thinking of you.
Sango- He really does care for you. Cant you tell?
Kagome- Especially after the moth demon incident, Inuyasha has never been as open with his feeling like Alex was then.
Kagura- I just don’t know what to say to him sometimes….I never had emotions like this before.
Sango- Well he is very open so whatever you say I’m sure he’ll understand.
Kagome- Yeah, just try speaking your mind.
Kagura- ….Ok I’ll try, but I’m not good at this kind of thing, its new to me.
(after a while the girls get dressed and go back to the camp fire)
~At the camp fire with Inuyasha, Miroku, and Alex~
(Kagura, Sango, Kagome, and Shippo walk up)
Alex- Ahh, you girls are back good.
Sango- I’m surprised Miroku.
Miroku- Huh? What do you mean Sango?
Sango- You didn’t try to be a peeping tom for once.
Alex- He wanted to, but I wouldn’t let him.
Kagome- It’s so nice to have someone that will look out for you.
Alex- And it saves Miroku injuries. (Alex gives a small smirk in Miroku‘s direction)
Miroku- You’re cruel you know that?
Alex- No, I’m a smart@%$ remember?
Miroku- That too.
(Inuyasha, Alex, and Miroku stand and head for the hot spring)
~With Inuyasha, Alex, and Miroku in the hot spring~
Alex- It’s been a long time since I’ve been in a hot spring.
Inuyasha- Hey Alex….
Alex- Hmm? What is it?
Inuyasha- What do you think I should do about Kagome and Kikyo? Did you find out if Kikyo was really dead or not yet?
Alex- No, I have no idea, you really should stick with Kagome for now.
Inuyasha- But I owe my life to Kikyo…..how can I stay with Kagome if I owe my life to Kikyo?
Alex- “Till death do you part”.
Inuyasha and Miroku- What’s that?
Alex- Its part of what the priest of a 21st century wedding ceremony says, you and your spouse stay together while you are ALIVE and then you part when one or both of you die. Kikyo is dead, and has died once before, so in saying so both of you should have parted long ago, but lingering feelings have an affect on you Inuyasha.
Inuyasha- So what do I do about them?
Alex- That’s your choice. I can only offer this and one other piece of advice, Kagome and you are alive, Kikyo wants or wanted you dead, so she can be with you. You figure out what you are going to do.
Inuyasha- I cant just resolve it that easily, just by saying I’m going with Kagome while I’m alive and I’ll go with Kikyo when I’m dead, It wont work that easy.
Alex- That’s only in your mind. It can if you want it too. The way an alchemist transmutes something is you have to become what you are making in a sense, transferring your state of mind into the object and forcing it to change its life force into what you want it to be.
Miroku- So your saying Inuyasha should force his state of mind like that?
Alex- If he wants to resolve this whole matter with Kagome and Kikyo. But he has to explain it to them if he wants it to work, that’s the hard part.
Inuyasha- I’ll try to do that but I don’t know how well it will work.
Miroku- So what about you and Kagura, Alex?
Alex- What do you mean?
Miroku- I mean what do you think she thinks of you?
Alex- I’m not all that sure what she thinks of me. I’ve already told her how I feel about her. I just have to wait for her decision and respect it.
Inuyasha- She must feel something for you cause she is able to hang around us just to be with you.
Alex- Yeah, but somehow I feel like in a way I’m forcing her to do that, even though I told her she didn’t have to stay with me.
Miroku- Well that’s all you can do, is tell her that and she will choose.
Alex- Yeah, I guess…..
(after a while the guys get dressed and go back to the camp fire)
~at the camp fire with the girls and Shippo~
(Alex, Inuyasha, and Miroku walk up)
(Kagome, and Shippo are already asleep)
(Sango is sitting on the ground by the fire)
(Kagura is leaning against a tree and is asleep)
Alex- Heh…(Alex takes off his jacket as he walks up to Kagura) (Alex covers Kagura with his jacket and walks back to the fire and sits on the opposite side of the fire in front of Sango)
(A moment of silence passes as Inuyasha leans up against a tree and falls asleep and Miroku lays down on the ground not too far from Kagome and Inuyasha)
Alex- It’s getting late Sango maybe you should get some rest.
Sango- Yeah, I will, see you in the morning. (Sango stands and goes and lays between Kagome and Kagura and falls asleep)
(Alex turns and lays beside the fire and looks up at the full moon)
Alex to himself- I can feel it draining from me….my demonic aura is disappearing once again. (Alex turns onto his side and looks into the fire and he sees and image of Atticus in his mind)
Alex to the image of Atticus- Why do you want to kill me so badly?
(Alex slowly falls asleep)
~the next morning with everybody but Alex~
((Alex isn’t there))
(Kagura wakes up and notices Alex’s jacket)
Kagura to herself- Huh? This is Alex’s jacket but….(Kagura looks around for Alex) But where is Alex?
(Kagura stands up and puts the jacket on because the morning air is cold)
(Kagome is gathering her things and Inuyasha is standing leaning against a tree)
Kagura- Hey has anybody seen Alex?
Sango- No, I was the first to wake up and he was gone when I got up.
Kagura- Hmmm….(Kagura walks off into the woods to go look for Alex)
~with Alex who is sitting on a limb of a tree about 7 feet above the ground~
(Alex is meditating on something while leaning against the trunk of the tree)
(Kagura walks up silently without noticing Alex is sitting in the tree behind her)
Kagura- Hey Alex where are you?!
Alex- Ahh! (Alex falls off the limb and hit’s the ground hard and Kagura turns to look at Alex)
Alex- Crap. Girl you scared me out of my wits.
Kagura- Opps, sorry. What were you doing?
Alex- Just thinking.
Kagura- Oh ok. Well I think everybody is almost ready to go.
Alex- Alright, lets head back then.
Kagura- Here. (Kagura holds out Alex’s jacket)
Alex- Keep if for now, its still cold.
Kagura- Really, take it, I don’t need it.
Alex- If you say so…(Kagura hands Alex his jacket and he puts it back on)
(Something makes a noise to the side of Kagura and Alex)
(Kagura and Alex look for what made the noise) Kagura- What was that?
Alex- I’m not sure but we’re surrounded.
(A group of demons holding swords and axes emerges from the bushes)
Kagura- Just weak demons, I’ll take care of them. (Kagura opens her fan and uses fujin no mai on the demons and cuts them in half)
(Kagura closes her fan as the last demon falls to the ground)
Kagura- Too easy.
(A girl comes out from behind the tree Alex was sitting in)
Girl- Very nice. I believe you are the Dragon Fighter and he Wind Sorceress… Am I correct?
Alex- Yeah that would be us, what do you want?
Girl- I wish to fight you.
Alex- We have to be leaving soon, so you are going to have to give me a better reason to fight you.
Girl- How about to preserve your own lives! (The girl dashes at Alex and takes a diagonal swing at him with her Katana) (Alex’s right shoulder is cut as he tries to avoid the strike)
Alex- What are you crazy?!
Girl- Maybe…. (The girl licks the bloodstained blade)
Alex- That cant be hygienically safe.
Girl- You’re a human, but I thought you were part demon. Your blood tastes like full human blood.
Kagura- I don’t care what it tastes like, you cant hurt him and get away with it! (Kagura holds up her fan and does dance of the dragon at the girl)
(the girl avoids the tornadoes extremely easily)
Girl- Wind Sorceress, stay out of this, I will get to you later.
Alex- You got my attention now let get started! (Alex has slipped around to the side of the girl and he tries to punch her in the head but the girl steps back and avoids it without looking and Alex stumbles and falls to the ground)
Alex to himself- That was a stupid move.
(the girl points her sword at Alex without looking at him)
Girl- I was told you would be a challenge, but I guess, I was told wrong.
Alex- What are you?
Girl- Me? I’m a samurai seeking a good fight in order to gain spiritual awareness.
(Alex pushes her sword away from him and Alex stands)
Alex- A samurai huh? That explains why you move the way you do.
Girl- (smiles a bit) I was told you could notice such subtle things, now I’m sure I have the right guy. Overprotective of the ones he loves, but yet confident in his fighting abilities.
Kagura- I’ve heard enough. I’m ending this, here and now. (Kagura opens her fan once again and points it at the girl)
Girl- Fuu.
Alex- Huh?
Girl- My name is Fuu, you should remember it because I’ll be back. (The girl back flips into the tree behind her and takes off jumping from branch to branch)
(Inuyasha comes running up with everybody else)
Alex- As usual, you come after all the action.
Alex- Ugh. (Alex holds the cut on his shoulder)
Kagura- Are you ok?
Alex to himself- Damn, she had something on that blade, its affecting my movements.
Alex- I’m…I’m fine.
Inuyasha- What happened?
Kagura- This crazy woman said she was samurai and wanted to fight Alex. She got a good hit on Alex and then retreated for some reason. Kagome do you have any thing for a deep cut like that?
Kagome- Yeah here let me…
Alex- No, I don’t need anything, it will just make it worse.
Kagome- Huh? Why not? It will help.
Alex- I have to go, sorry guys. (Alex takes off running through the woods)
Kagura- Wait Alex! (Kagura goes running after Alex)
Sango- I wonder what’s wrong…
Inuyasha- I’m not sure.
Kagome- I wonder if something happened.
Miroku- Whatever it is, lets find him.
Kagome- Yeah.
~With Alex at a near by water fall~
(Alex is sitting under the water fall with his shirt, jacket and shoes off)
Alex- Poison, a strong one too.
(Alex rubs the cut)
Alex- Hmph, and she calls herself a samurai, using dirty tactics like that.
(Kagura comes running up)
Kagura between gasps of air- Damn, for a human you run fast.
Kagura- Tell me, what’s wrong, why’d you take off so fast?
Alex- Poison….
Kagura- Huh? Poison, what do you mean?
Alex- Fuu put poison on her blade, and when she cut me it got into my blood stream.
Kagura- So are you going to be ok?
Alex- I should be. This type of poison reacts to medicine so using something besides water would have made it worse.
Kagura- Are…you going to be alright?
Alex- I’ll be fine. Let me soak this for a few a minute and we can get going.
((Fuu is watching from a nearby tree))
Fuu to herself- Damn, I was sure he wouldn’t have figured it out. I guess I’m going to have to do this the old fashioned way. (Fuu smirks) This should be fun.
(Alex finishes soaking his wound and he stands as Inuyasha and company come running up)
(Alex puts his shirt back on and throws his jacket over his shoulder)
Alex- Don’t even ask, I’m fine already.
Kagome- Ok, I wont ask then.
Inuyasha- Well lets get going if you are ok.
Alex- Tell me Inuyasha, do you smell my blood anywhere else besides on me?
Inuyasha- What kind of question is that? (Inuyasha sniffs the air)
Inuyasha- I’m getting a faint scent from up there! (Inuyasha points to the tree Fuu is in)
(Alex turns toward the tree Fuu is in)
Alex- Alright Fuu, no more tricks get down here now.
(Fuu jumps down out of the tree)
Fuu- (laughs a little bit) Pushy, pushy. What do you want? Did you finally decide to fight me?
Alex- No more tricks and I’ll fight you. It seems you wont go away without a fight. You’re like a friggin’ itch that I cant scratch.
Fuu- Well lets get started then. (Fuu pulls out her sword)
Inuyasha- Are you crazy man? You want to fight her here? Now?
Alex with a shifty glance at Inuyasha- I have no other choice.
Inuyasha- Well let me fight her for you.
Fuu- I wont fight some mutt, I want the Dragon Fighter.
Inuyasha- Mutt?! Why I oughta kick your little tail! (Inuyasha unsheathes Tetsaiga)
Fuu- Didn’t you hear me?! (Fuu swings her blade at Inuyasha and a blade of wind is sent at Inuyasha and he barely blocks it)
Inuyasha- (growls lowly) Why you….
Alex to himself- This may be harder than I first thought, but here goes nothing.
(Alex steps in front of Inuyasha and faces Fuu)
Alex- Lets see if you are what you say you really are. (Alex pulls out his 9mm and points it a Fuu and shoots once)
Fuu- Hmph. (Fuu swings her blade and it cuts the bullet in half)
Alex- Nice. Ok, so I believe you. Now lets get started! (Alex runs at Fuu)
