[episode 17]

~a few days after episode 16 at Kaede’s house~

(Alex is standing outside looking up at the stars, it is night and all the stars are bright)

(Inuyasha walks out of the house)

Inuyasha- What’re you doing?

Alex- Just thinking.

Inuyasha- You’re still not down on yourself about Duragon are you?

Alex- No not really.

Inuyasha- So what’s wrong?

Alex- Nothing its just…..Kagura.

Inuyasha- What about her?

Alex- I freed her, I didn’t plan to from the beginning but now she is free.

Inuyasha- So what’s the problem?

Alex- Well I had hoped she would join us…but it’s been 3 days and I haven’t seen her

Inuyasha- You have to give her time to come around, she just got free you know and nobody ever really cared for her like you do.

Alex- I guess…..

(Kagome walks out the house)

Kagome- Hey what are you guys doing out so late?

Inuyasha- Nothing of any importance. Why?

Kagome- Well I wanted to ask Alex something, what do you think Naraku’s next move is?

Alex- Kaguya Hime and her eternal youth.

Inuyasha- But Naraku barely has a body anymore thanks to you.
Alex- Yeah so he’s going to a place called Mount Hakarizon. It’s a place where no demon can get in it.
Inuyasha- So how does he get inside it?

Alex- He tempts the barrier keeper to let him in. That isn’t our biggest worry though. Naraku is resurrecting the Seven Men Mercenary Team;

Bankotsu, Linkotsu, Jakekotsu, Ginkotsu, Koukotsu, Mukotsu, and Shukotsu.

Inuyasha- Never heard of them.

Alex- Course not, about a decade ago they got together and worked for armies for large bounties and for the fun of killing. The armies got scared of how powerful they were getting and killed the Seven Men Mercenary Team. Naraku is going to use their thirst for vengeance and power against us I’m sure of it.

Inuyasha- So what are we waiting for? Lets get their before they do.

Alex- It’s too late for that. You don’t feel that jaki ((evil energy)) coming from the north?

Inuyasha- Yeah’ it’s been bothering me too.

Alex- All of that is from the Seven Men Mercenary Team.

Kagome and Inuyasha- All of it?!

Alex- I’m afraid so. Naraku and DJ must have awoken them right after we fought them while on their way to Mount Hakarazion.

Inuyasha- How far is Mount Hakarazion?

Alex- A week’s travel from here. We should leave in the morning if we want to get their before anything goes wrong.
Kagome- We should get some sleep then, come on. (they all go inside)

~the next day, in the morning~

(Alex explained everything to the rest of the group)

MK- What about me?

Alex- That is a problem….Inuyasha you can handle this without me for a while right?

Inuyasha- Yeah but what are you going to do?

Alex- The only way to get MK back to his world is to have Utsugi rest in peace.

Miroku- But you killed him didn’t you?

Alex- No Utsugi didn’t die from that shot. He’s not a demon or a human. He’s just like Kikyo.

Inuyasha- We can handle DJ and Naraku you just get MK home.

Alex- You all should get going so you can get there in time.
Inuyasha- Ok but you come as soon as your finished helping MK get home.
Alex- Count on it.

(Everybody but Alex, MK, and Kaede leave for Mount Hakarazion.)
Alex- Well lets get going MK.

MK- Where to?

Alex- To find Utsugi. I have a feeling he is wondering around Mount Hohou.

MK- We have to go there again?

Alex- Yeah, come on. (Alex walks out of the house with MK following him)

~at Mount Hohou’s base village~

Alex- Before we head up I need to go get something I forgot come on.
(Alex and MK head into the village square)

~at the sword smiths shop~

Alex- Hey anybody here?

(a man comes from the back room)

Man- Ohh customers. How can I help you?
Alex- I’m here to pick up something. (Alex hands the man a slip of parchment)

Man- Oh your him. I was wondering if you had forgotten about it. (the man goes into the back room and comes back with a maple wood sheath)

Alex- Looks good. (the man hands Alex the sheath) Thanks.

Man- It took longer than I thought it would.

Alex- It’s ok I was busy. (Alex puts Inazuma Ryu into the sheath) Thanks for the help. (Alex turns and walks away with MK)

~at the monks rest hut on Mount Hohou with Alex and MK later that day~

MK- Why did we stop here?

Alex- See that rock? (points to a boulder)

Mk in a sarcastic voice- I’m not blind of course I can see it.

Alex- Smartass huh? It’s a barrier break it.

MK- What are you crazy? Why cant you do it?

Alex- Just do it. Only Kururagi’s can open it.

MK- Ok… (MK uses his barrier breaking skill to break the barrier) Hey look a road is behind it.

Alex- Come on we don’t have any time to waste.

(Alex and MK run down the trail)

~about halfway down the trail~

Alex- Did you notice that Utsugi had the same face as you?

MK- Yeah and…holy crap so do those! (points to a bunch of clay dolls the size of Utsugi)

Alex- These are failures of trying to bring Utsugi back to life.
MK- But they are walking our way!

Alex- Yeah they also serve as the guards to the village at the end of this trail. (Alex pulls out Inazuma Ryu and starts to fight them)

Alex- MK are you going to help or what?!

(MK is standing in shock)

MK- Sorry! (MK sends a spell at the dolls and breaks 10 of them in half) (Alex kills off about 7 with a whip from the dragon)

Alex- 3 more an that’s it. (Alex dashes at the 3 last dolls and cuts them in half)

(Somebody shoots and arrow at Alex and barely misses his head)

Alex- Hey! What the hell?! Hey watch it!

Man- Get out of this area!

Alex- Wait a second! (the man shoots another arrow at Alex and Alex dodges it)

MK- Kyou Kururagi?

(the man lowers his bow)

Man- How do you know my name?
MK- I’m a Kururagi I have to know my family lineage you’re my ancestor.

Kyou- Are you mad?

Alex- The boy speaks the truth.

(Kyou aim his bow at Alex)

Kyou- Be silent demon!

MK- Wait! Don’t shoot him, he’s helping me!

Alex- Hold on man, we are just here to see the head of the village.

Kyou- I am the head of the village.

Alex- Oh good that saves us time but can you stop trying to kill me?

Kyou- What do you want with me?

Alex- We want your help.

Kyou- (lowers his bow again) With what?

Alex- Do you know any shikigami spells to send a person back to their own time?

Kyou- No I don’t know of any why do you ask?

Alex- This kid is from a different time and he needs to get back home.

Kyou- (takes a good look at MK) Come to think of it there is a person in the village who looks just like you.

Alex- Does he claim to be Utsugi?

Kyou- Yes but he died years ago so we locked him up.

Alex- He’s a replication of Utsugi. The last village head tried to bring him back to life but it didn’t go as planned.

Kyou- Come into the village and we can talk more at my house. (Kyou turns and walks toward the village and Alex and MK follow him)

~at Kyou’s house in the village~

Kyou- You said you know the village’s previous head didn’t you?

Alex- Yes Kakaju she will be coming soon.

Kyou- Kakaju is coming back?

Alex- She wants to see Utsugi’s replication and has been chasing him for the last few weeks.

MK- But how are we going to get me home Alex?

Alex- (crosses his arms and sighs) I seem to be handing out last requests lately.

MK- What do you mean?

Alex- Duragon and now Kakaju.

MK- You mean……?

Alex- I’m afraid so, Kakaju is on her last leg.
Kyou- You mean Kakaju is going to die soon?

Alex- She will come to this village and want to see Utsugi’s replication before she dies.
MK- Poor Kakaju.

Alex- I hate I have to be the one to help people with this kind of thing. Once we bury Kakaju, Utsugi will give his life to be with her in the afterlife.
MK- But what will happen to me?

Alex- You will be sent home because you helped Utsugi and Kakaju meet one last time.

MK- So let me get this straight, Naraku brought me here, then you screwed up his plans, and now I somehow help Kakaju and Utsugi get back together?

Alex- Yeah by just being here you helped them get back together.

MK- Ok…..I guess.

(A man comes running into the hut)

Man- Master Kyou, Kakaju has returned!

Alex- Told ya. (they all go to meet Kakaju)

~with Alex, MK, Kyou and Kakaju at the village entrance~

Kakaju- Oh I see you found your way here.
MK- Yes Alex led me here.

Kakaju- Ahh I see.

Alex- I suspect you came to see your husband’s replication.

Kakaju- Yes, it seems I’ve not long in this world.

Alex- I’m sorry to hear that. He is this way. (Alex leads Kakaju to Utsugi)

(a few minutes later Alex comes walking back to the village entrance where MK is waiting with Kyou)

Alex- Well come help me MK. Kakaju and Utsugi want to be buried in the Kururagi cemetery.

MK- Ok…..
(Alex and MK proceed to the Kururagi cemetery to bury Utsugi and Kakaju)

~after Alex, Kyou, and MK finish burying Kakaju and Utsugi in the cemetery~

Alex- (hold his hand out) I guess this is goodbye. You have my cell number give me a call sometime.

MK- Ok give my thanks to everybody.

Alex- Sure thing. Oh yeah here is a gift from Kagome and me. (Alex hands him a flat package)

(MK starts to fade away)

MK- See you on the flip side Alex

Alex- Yeah see ya.
(MK finishes fading away)

Alex- Hope he got home safely.
Kyou- I’m sure he is fine.

Alex- Thanks for the visit Kyou. I have to catch up to my friends, I’m a day behind them.

Kyou- I understand.

Alex- Thanks again. (Alex turns and starts to run to Mount Hakarazion)

~with MK in the store room were he fell into the portal to Inuyasha’s time~

MK- (starts to wake up) Ugh huh? Where am I? Oh yeah I was sent back home cause Alex helped me. (MK sits up) Huh what’s this? (MK looks down at the package Alex gave him.

(MK gets up and walks out into the sunlight)

MK- It reads; From: The all of us in Sengoku Jidai. To: MK the best sorcerer ‘round.

(MK smiles a little bit and opens the package)

MK- It’s cards…The first one is from Kagome it says: Hope Alex got you home safely MK. Hope he didn’t pick on you too much. I heard from Alex you liked Sushi so I got you a Gift Card for Wingo’s Sushi Bar hope you like it. Call me some time. Love Kagome Higurashi.

(MK puts the gift card in his pocket and read the next card)

MK- Ohh It’s a card from Alex…It says: Dear MK, If you’re reading this I remembered to give you this gift, yeah I am forgetful sometimes ::laugh out loud::. I didn’t know what to get you and I wasn’t going to give you another gift like Kagome’s so I just slipped you 50 American bucks, go get yourself a haircut punk, nah I’m joking again, go get you something you like on me. Hope it will get you more than a piece of gum. Anyways I have to go, sorry if the gifts are lame dude we didn’t have much time to get them together. Drop me a line some time. Your crazy ars friend, Alex P.

(MK puts the card up and puts the $50 in his pocket and reads the last card)

MK- The last one….It reads; Dear MK, We all will miss you’re company hope you got home safe and sound. We will get Alex to send you something later on. We didn’t have much time getting gifts together. Sorry for Naraku’s meddling, Inuyasha says he’ll punch him once for ya. Be careful out there. We hope to hear from you. (Inuyasha and company had sighed the card) (MK puts the card away and smiles)

MK- Hope you guys will be ok. See ya in da history books as Alex would say.
