[episode 16]
(Kagome, Shippo, Sango, Nintai and Hoseki leave with for a safe place)
Alex- Duragon is in the center of the city. We may have to fight 200 alchemists.
Inuyasha- Not good odds.
Miroku- Do we kill them?
Alex- It doesn’t matter to me but you leave Duragon to me.
Inuyasha- Why?
Alex- I don’t want anyone else involved in this fight. It might be my last….
Miroku- Then we have to help.
Alex- No. If I die I’m taking Duragon with me you can count on that.
Inuyasha- But what about Kagura?
Alex- Give her this. (Alex hand Inuyasha a piece of paper) Whatever you do don’t open it. Kagura is the only one who should open it.
Inuyasha- Ok.
(Alex turns to the barrier)
Alex- I want you guys to take care of the other guards however you see fit, but I want Duragon.
(Alex cuts the barrier and a big hole is made)
(Alex runs into the barrier followed by Inuyasha and Miroku)
~with Alex running through the village towards the center~
(A bunch of guards are standing in a group and see Alex running towards them)
Guard1- What the hell?
Guard2- Stop!
Alex- Shut up and get out of the way!
Guard3- Die! (stabs at Alex) (Alex grabs the spear and uses it to pole vault over the fence behind the guards)
~on the other side of the fence~
(Alex lands and keeps running)
(a guard sets the ground in front of Alex on fire using alchemy)
Alex- (stops in front of the fire) Crap!
(three guards come up behind Alex)
Guard1- Who are you and how did you find this place.
Alex- Do I have to answer those stupid questions?
Guard2- Smartass! (holds out his hand and sends a shockwave at Alex) (Alex ducks and avoids it)
Guard3- You die here! (holds up a bow and shoots at Alex with an arrow that is on fire. As the arrow gets closer the fire grows larger)
Alex- I’m in deep…(deflects the arrow barely with his sword)
Alex- (holds out his sword) Extend and solidify Inazuma Ryu! (the dragon grows 5 feet and solidifies into a blade)
(Alex runs that guard3 and stabs him in the chest and he falls) (the 2nd guard ((guard2)) sends another shockwave at Alex)
(Alex turns around and is hit by it and pushed through a hut wall)
Alex- (gets up) Ow.
(Alex runs out and is hit by another shockwave and is pushed through the other hut wall)
(Alex gets up again)
Alex- IF YOU DON’T QUIT! (Alex runs at the 2nd guard furiously) (The 2nd guard sends a 3rd shockwave at Alex)
Alex- Not this time! (Alex cuts the shockwave in 2 with his sword)
Guard2- How? My shockwave cant be cut by a normal sword!
Alex- (is running at guard2) Figure it out in the afterlife! (Alex stabs the 2nd guard and throws him aside)
Guard1- You cant go an further!
Alex- Really now? (Alex grabs the blade of Inazuma Ryu and starts to twirl it like a bo staff)
(Alex throws Inazuma Ryu through the fire and it clears a path and strikes the 1st guard)
(Alex runs down the path and grabs Inazuma Ryu as he runs by it)
Alex- I see it! Duragon’s house. I’m coming you crazy son of a get ready.
(the 8 guards that guard Duragon’s house all shoot arrows at Alex) (Alex dodges the arrows)
(Alex uses the solidified dragon and cuts the 8 guards in half)
(Alex stops about 10 feet from the door of Duragon’s house)
Alex- So much for security…
(Duragon steps out the door clothed in a blue suit like Inuyasha’s)
Alex- Duragon Elric….
Duragon- What do you want?
Alex- I want to stop your tyranny that’s what you‘ve taken too many lives meaninglessly.
You’ve been looking for the philosophers stone as well haven’t you?
Duragon- And what of it?
Alex- I’m here to tell you it’s impossible in this day and age.
Duragon- Oh and how would a guy like you know?
Alex- I’m one of the few alchemist left in the 21st century and I’ve read all about it. Only one man was able to produce a philosophers stone.
Duragon- Who was that?
Alex- You mean who is he? He is the boy Nintai that you have been forcing to do your sick experiments! He’s already done it.
Duragon- UH HOW?!
Alex- I’m not really sure, apparently there is more than one way to make the stone, but he had me destroy it while I lead him out of the village.
Duragon- You destroyed it?! Why? If you’re an alchemist then you should know what that thing is capable of!
Alex- Yeah I was aware that’s why I destroyed it!
Duragon- Why though?!
Alex- Hmph because its not right to play God.
Duragon- Damn you! (Duragon dashes at Alex and punches him and sends him flying)
(Alex hit’s the ground and gets up)
Alex- A little pissed are we? They called your search “the search for the devil”. But the look in your eyes now…. The devil himself has more comforting eyes.
Duragon- You ruined my one chance to rule over all and get her back! I’ll kill you!! (Duragon rushes Alex and punches at Alex but Alex blocks it)
Alex- I knew you wanted to rule over everything but who’s this “her”? (Alex pushes Duragon off him)
Duragon- My wife the only woman who loved me. You killed her!
Alex- Hold on I haven’t killed a woman in my life!
Duragon- He had the same face as you! Explain that! He wore different clothes but I’ll never forget that face even though it was stained with blood.
Alex- I cant help that but it wasn’t me! You started this operation 15 years ago to bring her back but I got here only a few months ago!
Duragon- Liar!! (punches at Alex again but Alex blocks it with ease)
Alex- I don’t care what your story is anymore I’m finishing this fight you’ve claimed too many lives for your selfish reasons! (Alex punches Duragon in the stomach and he falls to his knees)
Alex- I may be a teenager but I know what’s right and what’s wrong.
Duragon- Screw you. (Duragon puts his hand on the ground and the earth underneath Alex raises suddenly and throws him back 50 feet and Duragon gets up)
Duragon- You would never understand how I feel.
(Alex struggles to get up)
Alex- About what? Your wife? I’m not an idiot I know how you feel. I also have someone I care about. (Alex starts to run for Duragon) (Duragon puts his hand on the ground again and spikes emerge 5 feet in front of Alex)
Alex- Not good! (Alex skids to a stop barely avoiding the spikes)
Duragon- I’m going to kill you if it’s the last thing I do even if it is the wrong thing to do.
Alex- So what just because a person that looked like me killed your wife 15 years ago you are switching the blame to me because he had the same face? Can we say psycotic and moronic?
Duragon- Mankind is evil by nature he will do anything to get what he wants.
Alex- (grabs one of the spikes) Don’t preach me philosophies…Man is born clean, sinless, we choose our own path in life. I choose to get rid of the filth in this world like you! (Alex breaks the spike and throws it a Duragon) (Duragon holds his hand out and as the spike comes close to him it disintegrates)
Alex- Alchemic reactions without touch, that’s a nice trick. (Alex cuts the spikes down and has his dragon wrap around them)
Alex- Heh lets test your skills then shall we? (Alex whips the dragon back and then forward and has the dragon let go of the spike so they are all thrown at Duragon)
Duragon- (holds out his hand and all of the spikes disintegrate like before) Too easy.
Alex- Not bad. (Alex kneels and draws and alchemy circle, grabs a nearby sword and puts it in the center of the circle, and then touches the edge of the circle. The circle lights up and a lightweight AK-47 is made with a clip already loaded)
Duragon- What are you up to boy?
Alex- This is a gun from my time, one of my favorites in fact, it can shoot 3 inch projectiles and have them penetrate 3 inches of steel.
Duragon- What do you plan to do with it?
Alex- That was a dumb question (Alex points it at Duragon) What do you think I’m gonna do?
(Alex fires the entire clip at Duragon but he puts up a wall of steel that is 12 inches thick)
Alex to himself- That didn’t go as planned…What now?
Duragon- I can break all rules of alchemy, do you really think you can beat me with your toys boy?
Alex- Fortunately for you I don’t have enough metal to make a rail driver ((a mining gun that can shoot a rod through 100 feet of rock)) or you’d be on the ground right now.
Duragon- But unlike you I don’t have to have the same materials as you. (Duragon puts his hand on the ground and a light shines and 2 short double bladed swords are made and Duragon takes hold of them)
Alex- (Alex throws aside the AK-47) I could go for a good sword fight…(Alex has his dragon recede into the blade of his sword)
(Duragon dashes at Alex and takes 2 swings at his head but Alex ducks avoiding the blades by mere inches) (Before Alex can counter attack Duragon takes comes back around with another attack at Alex’s midsection and cuts Alex with one of the blades) (Alex stubbles back holding the cut with one hand)
Alex- Ughh You’re pretty fast for big guy. But I’m faster! (Alex takes 3 good swings at Duragon and clips his left shoulder with the first swing)
(Duragon blocks the last 2 with is swords)
Duragon to himself- Damn, he cut me pretty deep. it’s hard to keep up with my left arm. He is fast with such a big sword.
(Duragon looks as he is in pain)
Alex- What’s wrong Duragon? We’re just getting started! (Alex runs at Duragon and tries a vertical strike but Duragon blocks it and they are in a stalemate)
Alex- If you stop all of these experiments I wont have to kill you. You can still change your ways.
Duragon- I’ll do as I please. (Duragon starts to push toward Alex harder than before)
Alex- Is that all you got? (Alex pushes harder an makes it a stalemate again)
Duragon- Like you said we’re just getting started. (Duragon drops the ground and Alex falls over him) (Duragon gets up quickly and trys to stab Alex but Alex rolls and his right shoulder is cut) (Alex gets up quickly holding his shoulder)
Alex to himself- Just great, my good arm is injured. And the bleeding in my midsection hasn’t stopped.
(Duragon jumps at Alex and tries to cut him with a diagonal slash) (Alex jumps back out of the way and avoids the strike) (Alex switches his sword to his left hand)
Alex- I have to take this to the next level if I want to win…(Alex makes a slash in front of Duragon and a lightening bolt is sent at Duragon)
(Duragon holds up a sleeve of his cloak and the lightening bolt is absorbed by the cloak)
Alex with a surprised voice- Huh? What the hell? He should be burnt toast from that bolt!
Duragon- (laughs) My cloak can absorb any lightening bolt. Every heard of the element cloaks?
Alex- No but I suppose you are going to tell me what they are.
Duragon- Not really, you will find out what they are after you are dead. (Duragon dashes at Alex and cuts Alex’s left leg and jumps back)
Duragon- No I can use you as target practice. (Duragon laughs maliciously)
Alex to himself- Damn, I never expected him to be this fast. Besides that my vision is going dim due to blood loss.
(Duragon hold out his hand to were his palm is towards Alex)
Duragon- I’ll give you a proper burial if there is anything left of you. Now die! (Duragon sends a lightening bolt) (Alex doesn’t flinch and the lightening bolt hits Alex and Alex falls to the ground and doesn’t move)
Duragon- (after a moment) Dropped freaking dead huh?
(Alex gets up slowly)
Duragon in a surprised voice- HOW?! No normal human can survive that kind of shock!
Alex in a strange voice- I’m no normal human.
Duragon- A demon?
Alex in a strange voice- Not completely, I’m 1/4th demon.
~with Inuyasha and Miroku who are fighting the last of the guards~
Inuyasha- (smells Alex’s demon blood) Miroku we have to hurry Alex is in trouble.
Miroku- (knocks out the last guard) Right. (Inuyasha and Miroku run towards Alex)
~back with Alex and Duragon~
Alex in a strange voice- It feels good to let out my demon side. I haven’t let it out for a long time.
Duragon- So you’re a demon huh? How about you join me then?
Demon Alex- Just a minute ago you said you were going to kill me if it was the last thing you do. Where is all that anger now?
Duragon- I can always use a good body guard.
Demon Alex- Tch don’t insult me I still have my dignity.
Duragon- So you wont join me that’s too bad…then die! (Duragon swings his sword at Alex and a flame whip hits Alex but Alex acts like he didn’t feel it) (Duragon steps back in surprise)
Demon Alex- What’s wrong Duragon aren’t you going to kill me?
(Inuyasha and Miroku arrive with out Alex noticing)
Demon Alex- If you don’t attack I will Duragon. (Alex jumps at Duragon and cuts his whole left side with his claws)
Duragon- Die you freaking demon! (Duragon starts to whip Alex with his flame whip but it doesn’t affect Alex)
Demon Alex- It doesn’t work cant you tell? (Alex grabs Duragon by the neck and holds him above the ground) (Alex holds his other claw up to Duragon’s chest)
Demon Alex- I think it is time we end this…
Inuyasha- Wait Alex don’t kill him yet!
(Alex turns his head to see Inuyasha and Miroku)
Demon Alex- Ahh Inuyasha you’re just in time to see me get rid of this filth.
Inuyasha- What? I thought you wanted him alive?
Demon Alex- I don’t care anymore. (Alex turns his head back to Duragon)
Duragon in a painful voice- Ughh Help me.
Inuyasha- I thought you were stronger than that Alex… I guess I was wrong.
(Alex turns his head back to Inuyasha quickly again)
Demon Alex- Huh what’s that supposed to mean?!
Inuyasha- You said yourself it’s not healthy to turn full demon so why did you?
Demon Alex- Why does it matter?!
Inuyasha- Killing someone without mercy like that isn’t like you. (Inuyasha turns away from Alex)
Inuyasha- You’re weak, weaker than the one you have in your hand.
Demon Alex- (throws Duragon aside) We’ll see about that! (Alex dashes at Inuyasha and Inuyasha turns and punches Alex in the forehead and Alex flys backward a few yards and doesn’t get up for a moment)
Inuyasha- (Walks up to Alex) Now get up you aren’t weak that’s not you, you don’t need you’re demon side to win this fight.
(Alex wakes up from being knocked out from Inuyasha)
Alex in his normal voice- Huh? (Looks up and see Inuyasha) What happened? Last thing I remember Duragon knocked me out with a lightening bolt.
Inuyasha- (Holds his hand out to help Alex up) You turned demon and tried to kill Duragon then me.
Alex- What?! I turned demon? (Inuyasha helps Alex up)
Inuyasha- How do you think Duragon got that gaping cut in his side? (Alex looks over at Duragon who has a deep cut in his left side which he is holding and trying to crawl away)
Alex- Thanks for the help Inuyasha, let me handle him. (Alex walks over in front of Duragon and looks down at him)
Duragon- Get away from me! (Duragon tries to get up and run) (Alex stands in front of him)
Alex- Why are you running? What are you trying to achieve from all this?
Duragon- You wouldn’t care or wouldn’t understand.
Alex- I get it now you wanted the stone so you could resurrect your wife.
Duragon- Yeah and you ruined it! (Duragon takes a weak punch at Alex’s head but Alex catches it)
Alex- I didn’t ruin anything. Why do you want to you want to resurrect her anyways?
Duragon- I want to see her one last time is that so wrong?!
Alex- No but taking innocent lives to try to resurrect her is. Besides you act like you wont live long, what’s with that?
Duragon- (Alex lets go of Duragon’s fist) Because I was diagnosed with an illness there is no cure for, I am supposed to die within a year, and that was my last wish, to see my wife one last time.
Alex- So why don’t you resurrect her?
Duragon- I’ve been trying!
Alex- You haven’t been doing anything but wasting time and lives.
Duragon- How am I supposed to resurrect her without the stone?! Tell me that!
Alex- Be quiet. (Alex punches Duragon in the stomach and he falls to his knees)
Duragon- I cant do it with my bare hands I need the stone, you don’t know how important it is for me to see her again before I die.
Alex- I know how important it is, you think you will go to hell and never see her again isn’t that it? Then why don’t you resurrect her then?
Duragon- I told you I cant, not without the stone! You wouldn’t understand your just a kid.
Alex-Stop telling me I don’t understand damn it! You’re so F ing blind you cant see your own stupidity! (Alex punches Duragon in the head an he falls face first onto the ground)
Alex- I hate people like you. Dumb as dirt, the answer is right in front of you. Do I have to spell it out for you? Isn’t the alchemist’s number one law equivilant exchange?!
Duragon- What’s equivilant exchange got to do with it?
Alex- You’re an Elric right? Your specialty is breaking the rules of alchemy you can bring your wife back without the damn stone.
Duragon- Your wrong (struggles to get up)
Alex- I’m wrong? About what?
Duragon- I cant bring her back to life by myself.
Alex- Shut up! (punches Duragon in the side)
Alex- I hate when people talk down on themselves. I get enough of it from my oldest sister I sure as hell don’t need it from you!
Alex- I’m going to tell you something my father told me…If you believe there are no limits, no rules, and no boundaries then there really aren’t any.
Duragon- How is that true? It makes no sense.
Alex- Rules, boundaries, and limits are made to be broken so break them. Elrics are good at that they always have been and always will be.
Duragon- I cant transmute a human on my own…
Alex- Stop babbling you fool, transmute spell 666. The devils transmute… You know it I know you do. It’s never been perfected… You know why?
Duragon- No why?
Alex- Because you have to be an Elric to do it you have to be fully willing and determined.
I’ll never be able to transmute a human but you can and so will your great great great grandson Edward.
Duragon- So how do I do it?
Alex- I don’t know you tell me. Go ahead make everybody that says you cant transmute humans wrong.
Duragon- I just want to see her face one last time before I die.
Alex- That can happen. I’ll help you gather the ingredients if you just put forth the effort.
Duragon- Sure if you promise me one thing.
Alex- What’s that?
Duragon- If I cant speak you tell her I love her and always did.
Alex- It’s a deal then.
~a few hours later after Alex explained the situation to Inuyasha and Miroku~
(a pile of ingredients are in a pan and Duragon is standing in front of it)
Duragon- I’m ready poor the blood on it.
(Alex poors a small amount of blood on the pile of ingredients)
Alex- It’s ready.
Duragon- (draws an alchemy circle around the pan) Here we go…
(Duragon puts his hands together and puts them on the circle and a bright light engulfs the area)
(after the light subsides a human body is lying beside Duragon)
Duragon- She is beautiful isn’t she?
Alex- Indeed.
Asura- Where am I? Duragon? I thought I was dead…
Duragon in a strained voice- Asura my only love….I couldn’t go on with out you….I love you…(Duragon dies beside his wife)
Asura- Duragon? Duragon?
Alex- I’m sorry Miss but he couldn’t go on living without you. Let me explain.
(Alex explains Duragon’s situation to Asura)
Alex- So I actually came to help him. He was mentally unstable after you died by the hands of a shape shifting demon.
Asura- He went through all that for me?
Alex- Duragon truly loved you and wanted to see you one last time.
Asura- But… Cant you help me do the same to bring him back?
Alex- I’m sorry I cant help you.
(Asura falls back and lets out a tear and dies)
Inuyasha- What the?
Alex- Her structure was unstable from the beginning she was in pain the whole time.
I hate I couldn’t do anything.
Miroku- So it was only temporary?
Alex- Yeah.
Inuyasha- So tell me what was the point in this?
Alex- Don’t you get it? Duragon was killing humans needlessly, I couldn’t just stand by and let him do that. The least we can do is give them a proper burial. (Alex, Miroku, and Inuyasha bury the 2 and head back toward Kagome and Sango)
~with Alex, Miroku, and Inuyasha who are heading for Sango and Kagome~
Alex to himself with his head lowered- If I hadn’t helped him die he would have taken 1,000s of lives…It was right wasn’t it? All of mankind is sorrow full and some go insane from the bottomless sorrow of loosing a loved one….there was no other way.
