[episode 15; the prophesy of alchemy]
((immediately after episode 14))
~with Alex who is running for Kaede’s house~
Alex- No way I hope it isn’t him. The only evil Elric cant be the alchemist prophesy Kaede spoke of. ……I remember now.
~flashback of Alex and DJ in Alex’s room reading an alchemy book~
DJ- Who’s this? (points to a pictue)
Alex- It says Duragon Elric the alchemist of Feudal Japan. It says he was the only one to transmute a human successfully but died immediately afterwards.
DJ- No way!
Alex- What? Look at the pictue again doesn’t that guy behind Duragon look like you?
Alex- Yeah but I’m sure it’s a coensidense.
DJ- No look closer at his shirt.
Alex- ……Creepy…… It is the same as mine. But there is no way in hell that can be me. This was 500 years ago in Japan.
DJ- Yeah but it’s weird.
~back with Alex who is still running through the forest for Kaede’s house~
Alex- That was no coensidense. I’m destined to meet Duragon Elric. But I cant remember who he transmuted I know it wasn’t me.
(The girl that was watching Alex has been following him and jumps down in front of him)
Girl- Hold it!
Alex- Outa my way babe I got important business to handle.
Girl- I said hold it Alex!
(Alex skids to a stop in front of the girl)
Alex- How do you know my name? (Alex grabs his sword)
Girl- Hang on chill. Take your hand off the sword.
Alex- Answer me, how do you know my name?
Girl- I’ve been watching you for a few days. Ever since you fainted about 3 days ago from your fight with Naraku I’ve been watching you.
Alex- (takes his hand off of his sword) So what do you want with me?
Girl- You’re going to search for an Elric right?
Alex- Yeah Duragon Elric why?
Girl- I can take you and your friends to him.
Alex- So what’s your name.
Girl- My mother named me Hoseki.
Alex- Jewel huh?
Girl- No Hoseki.
Alex- Your name is Japanese and translates to Jewel.
Hoseki- I guess you can call me Jewel.
Alex- Ok then come with me.
~Jewel and Alex run to Kaede’s house~
(Alex explains to everybody what he has found out)
Inuyasha- Any idea what he looks like Alex?
Alex- Long blond hair just below his shoulder blades, He wears a necklace with his family symbol, and his most distinguishing mark is that he has a spiral scar going from his wrist to his elbow on his right forearm. Oh yeah by the way this is Jewel she knows where Duragon is.
Miroku- (grabs Jewel’s hands) Miss Jewel you name fits you perfectly…(whack) (Sango hits Miroku over the head)
Sango- Stop flirting and lets go.
Alex- Sorry ‘bout that Jewel the monk has a problem keeping his hands off women.
Jewel- Uhh ok. Can you get him to let go of my hands?
Alex- Miroku….let go or I’ll hit you. (Miroku lets go of Jewels hands)
Miroku- Sorry it is a curse.
Jewel to herself- He is strange….
(They all walk out following Jewel)
Jewel- Duragon is this way.
~after a day of traveling north with Jewel~
(it is night time and everybody is gathered around a campfire)
Jewel- So Alex I heard from your friends that you aren’t from this world.
Alex- I cant prove that anymore.
Jewel- How do you mean?
Alex- It seems that I lived in a different world but now I’m not sure anymore.
Kagome- You’re not sure anymore? Why not?
Alex- Earlier today before I met Jewel I remembered a picture that DJ and I saw in an alchemy book. I was in it and so was Inuyasha.
At first I didn’t think it was me or Inuyasha but now I’m sure of it.
Kagome- What does that mean?
Alex- If I could get that book in my world it could only mean we are in my world but in the past.
Kagome- Weird……Hey you know what that means?!
Alex- What?
Kagome- My time and yours are the same!
Alex- Huh cool. Well if you ever come to America come and see me.
Kagome- Same for you.
Miroku- Wait a second though. Why can we understand you if you are in Kagome’s world but you are and American.
Alex- Don’t know. But does it really matter? I know Japanese.
Kagome- You do?
Alex- Well not all of it but enough to get by on.
Kagome- I don’t know any English.
Alex- Then what are we speaking now?
Kagome- Good question.
Alex- Great. It seems my interfering with this world has caused our worlds to tangle up.
Kagome- Does it matter?
Alex- Not really. Nothing dangerous can come from it. Most demons will die out by the 1800s anyways.
Inuyasha- Hey Alex you’re good with finding info right?
Alex- Yeah why?
Inuyasha- You think my family will still be around in your time? Can you find out?
Alex- Your family is still around I already looked up that possibility, I just don’t know where they are.
Inuyasha- How do you know?
Alex- Every family has a crest they keep from their founding I already knew yours and looked it up somewhere in my world your people are still around.
Inuyasha- (sigh) That’s good to hear.
Sango- That’s good but unfortunately my family wont live long since me and Kohaku are the only ones left.
Alex- I hate it when you talk like that Sango.
Sango- Sorry but it’s depressing that we are the only ones left.
Alex- I know I shouldn’t tell you this but…your family is in America living kinda close to mine.
Sango- Really?!
Alex- Yeah they moved from Hiroshima right before World War 2.
Sango- World War 2?
Kagome- Now this I know about. America, Great Britian, and France were on one side and Japan, Italy, and Germany were on the other…..
(Kagome tells everybody about World War 2)
~a few minutes later~
Kagome- The war only ended after America dropped 2 Atomic bombs on Japan. One in Hiroshima and one in Nagasaki. These bombs disintegrated the cities whole.
Inuyasha- Wow.
Alex- Yeah we found something more powerful than your Bakryuha. (laughs)
Inuyasha- Man thats bad…
Miroku- Indeed.
Alex- I have to tell you this…(Alex gets a serious look) this information must never leave these families or the future will be changed forever. Got that?
Everybody- Yeah.
Alex- Hard times come for all and we will cope.
Kagome- It’s a good thing that Japan and America are understanding and are on good terms back home.
Alex- Yeah.
Jewel- Alex what about your family? What are they like?
Alex- Um well, pretty much like a normal 21st century family, why?
Jewel- Because I was just wondering……..I have no family (pulls her knees close to her chin)
Kagome- What happened to them?
Jewel- They opposed Duragon Elric and he killed them without hesitation.
Alex- How did they oppose him?
Jewel- Duragon is a ruthless leader of a secret army of alchemists and demons and we lived in a village when he invaded and took over. I was still a small child when it happened but I remember what happened. My family was in charge of finding new discoveries in alchemy and we were supposed to use live humans for our experiments. Mom and Dad didn’t cooperate with Duragon’s orders and he killed them instantly. I was in the back when it happened with my brother and brother snuck me out the back and gave me directions to the nearest safe village. It’s been 10 long years and brother is still in enslavement by Duragon. I vowed to get him back one day. So I came looking for strong people like you guys and found Alex.
Alex- …………
Jewel- What is it?
Alex- Duragon is trying to form something that he will never get.
Everybody- What’s that?
Alex- A philosophers stone. It is a stone that enables the carrier to break all rules of alchemy but he will never get it. It is just a legend that got out of hand. Everybody thinks it is the ultimate alchemical enhancer but it can only do so much due to equivilant exchange.
Inuyasha and Jewel- How do you know?
Alex- They call the search for that stone “the search for the devil” now in my time.
Jewel- Why?
Alex- Because it can never be achieved. You apparently go crazy before you get it. You have to infuse 2 prophets of alchemy to get the stone. There is only 1 prophet of alchemy that’s Duragon.
Inuyasha- So why does he want the stone?
Alex- I cant imagine why. To keep it in the family to rule the world, that’s usually the motive of these kind of weirdos.
Alex- Enough about it though, its getting late we need to get some sleep.
~a couple days later with Inuyasha and company at the base of a mountain~
Jewel- This is it the village.
Alex- Are you insane? There is nothing here.
Jewel- It just looks that way.
Inuyasha- A barrier?
Jewel- Exactly.
Inuyasha- Hah I bet it is weak.
Alex- Wait Inuyasha don’t use Kaze no Kizu.
Inuyasha- Why not?
Alex- I wanna get a good look at Duragon’s operation. Let me do a little recon.
(Alex pulls out his sword and cuts a hole in the barrier just big enough for him to fit in)
Alex- If I’m not back by morning then come for me.
Inuyasha- Well ok if you insist.
(Alex disappears into the barrier)
(Inuyasha and company take shifts to watch for people)
~inside the village with Alex~
Alex to himself- Ok If I was some crazed alchemist where would I go? Good question. It looks like a normal village. Maybe I’ll poke around the houses and see what the deal is.
~later as Alex is looking around a house~
A voice- Hoseki Hoseki Are you ever coming back?
Alex- Huh? (looks for the voice) (Alex looks through a window and see a teenager about his age clutching a hand drawn picture of what looks to be him and Hoseki ((Jewel)) )
Alex- Pst.
Teenager- Huh Hoseki? (looks up at the window and sees Alex)
Alex- No but close. I know Hoseki.
Teenager- She is ok?
Alex- Yeah keep your voice down.
Alex- Are you her brother?
Teenager- Yeah I’m Nintai.
Alex- Patients huh? Your name fits you to wait for 10 years to see your sister.
Nintai- Is Hoseki coming to see me?
Alex- I’m afraid not it’s too dangerous for her to be here.
Nintai- Are you here to free us from Master Duragon?
Alex- Yeah but I need some info from you.
(Alex hears somebody coming)
Alex- Oh crap! Act natural Nintai. I’ll be right back.
(Alex climbs up the hut and lays flat on the roof)
Nintai- Hoseki Hoseki Hoseki.
Patrol officer- Still waiting huh Nintai? Too bad…You know she is never coming back for you.
Nintai- You’re wrong. She will come and she and her friends will kill you all.
Patrol officer- I find that offensive boy. (the patrol officer runs around the house and through the door) (Alex jumps down and goes after him)
~inside Nintai’s hut~
Patrol officer- I’m gonna beat you for that threat. How many times is it this month? 14?
Alex- Ass.
(the patrol officer turns around)
Patrol officer- Who are you?
Alex in a cold voice- I’m death to you. (Alex grabs the man and slams him against the wall)
Alex- Don’t watch Nintai.
(Nintai turns away)
Alex in a cold voice- Now you’re gonna tell me exactly what I want to know or your life is over, got it?
Patrol officer- Go to hell.
Alex in a cold voice- Been there, done that, returned the T-shirt.
Alex in a cold voice- Try anything stupid and you die.
Patrol Officer- The whole town will be down on you in a matter of seconds if I yell.
Alex in a cold but confident voice- Does it look like I care? Plus I’ll kill you before you breathe to yell. (Alex uses one hand to put a dagger to the mans neck)
Patrol officer- What do you want to know?
Alex- Where is Duragon?
Patrol officer- The center hut in the village that is surrounded by 8 guards.
Alex- Good we are making progress. Now where are all the people and minerals for the experiments coming from?
Patrol officer- A nearby village located on a mountainside that was taken over by our army.
Alex- Why cant all my hostages be as cooperative as you? What about the philosophers stone?
Patrol officer- What about it?
Alex- Is Duragon trying to make one?
Patrol officer- Yeah but it is coming out unsuccessful.
Alex- Of course the fool doesn’t know the secret to it.
Patrol officer- You know the secret to making one?
Alex- Of course I do. But its not possible at this point in time. How many guards are in the village?
Patrol officer- 200 including me.
Alex- And one last thing, what do you know about Hoseki?
Patrol officer- I was a friend of Hoseki’s father but I couldn’t do anything about the killing of her mom and dad. I was promoted to patrol officer after I sold out secrets of her family to keep mine alive.
Alex- Not what I wanted to hear.
Patrol officer- That’s all I know about her I swear.
Alex- Where her parents part demon part human?
Patrol officer- Yes.
Alex- When was she born?
Nintai- first month of the year, 10th day.
Alex- Good date. A prophets date.
Nintai- Please don’t kill him.
Alex- I don’t plan to unless he doesn’t cooperate.
Patrol officer- Can I say something to the boy?
Alex- Yeah.
Patrol officer- Nintai I’m sorry. I was supposed to take care of you but I couldn’t due to Duragon’s rule. I’m your god father.
Alex- So why did you beat him?
Patrol officer- It is my job unfortunately. If anyone threatens or insults any of the officers I am to beat them. It’s part of the job of all officers.
Duragon hates potiental betrayers.
Alex- Hmm me too but I don’t go around beating people for it. Thanks for all the help. Sorry for this. (Alex knocks the man out and lays him down on the floor silently)
Alex- He’s not dead Nintai. I just knocked him out for now.
Alex- How about we go see Hoseki now?
Nintai- Really?
Alex- Yeah just keep quiet and follow me.
(Alex and Nintai sneak out of the village as quickly as possible)
~With Inuyasha and company~
Miroku- Hey guys look. (points at the barrier)
(Alex is cutting through the barrier just like how he entered it)
(Alex emerges with Nintai from the barrier and they run up to everybody)
Nintai- Where is Hoseki?
Hoseki- It’s me. Nintai?
Hoseki- Nnitai!
Nintai- Hoseki! (both of them run and hug each other)
Nintai- I cant believe your ok sis.
Hoseki- You too brother.
Alex- He’s been waiting for 10 years for her.
Inuyasha- Did you find out anything?
Alex- That just it. I got all the info I need from Nintai’s god father.
Kagome- How?
Alex- I had to beat it out of him sort of. Don’t worry though he’s still alive, although he will have a badass hangover when he gets up tomorrow.
Alex- Nintai took beatings for insulting and threatening the alchemist officers. Despite that he didn’t want me to kill anybody. He has a pure heart I couldn’t do what he does.
Inuyasha- Yeah.
Alex- Seems he has gotten 13 beatings in just one month.
Kagome- But it’s only the 2nd week of the month!
Alex- The boy has courage he just cant back it up. Maybe Jewel can help him with that.
(Alex walks up to Hoseki and Nintai)
Alex- Sorry I know you 2 haven’t seen each other for a long time but you’re gonna have to postpone the reunion to a safer place and time.
Nintai- Thank you sir.
Alex- Don’t call me sir it makes me feel old.
Nintai- Sorry. (Hoseki laughs)
Alex- Hey Sango can you take these 2 to a safe village?
Sango- Sure but wont you need my help?
Alex- I don’t want to get too many of us involved in this fight its just gonna be me, Inuyasha, and Miroku.
Kagome- What about me?
Inuyasha- Alex is right it is dangerous here you go with Sango.
Kagome- But….
Inuyasha- No buts just go ok this isn’t a normal situation.
Alex- He’s right some of these people could kill you in an instant.
Alex to himself- This may be harder than I first though.
Kagome- Ok but I don’t like this situation.
(Kagome, Shippo, Sango, Nintai and Hoseki leave with for a safe place)
Alex- Duragon is in the center of the city. We may have to fight 200 alchemists.
Inuyasha- Not good odds.
Miroku- Do we kill them?
Alex- It doesn’t matter to me but you leave Duragon to me.
Inuyasha- Why?
Alex- I don’t want anyone else involved in this fight. It might be my last….
Miroku- Then we have to help.
Alex- No. If I die I’m taking Duragon with me you can count on that.
