[episode 11]

~at Kaede’s house a few days after episode 10~

(it is about lunch time and everyone is sitting around the fire eating baked fish)

Kagome- So Alex how is your arm?

Alex- I can move it now, I think it’s just about time to take off the bandages.

(Alex puts down his food and unwraps his shoulder)

Sango- It looks like it never got hurt. That’s amazing.

Alex- Well I had a little help. (smiles toward MK)

MK- It was nothing. It was my fault you got hurt.

Alex- It wasn’t your fault already! I was the one who didn’t see it coming. If not for you I wouldn’t be here.

MK- Yeah well…..

Alex- Anyways I don’t know if I can make it a week before you go back MK.

MK- Oh? How long then?

Alex- I cant say exactly but it might be awhile.

Inuyasha- So what’s the story behind MK, Alex?

Alex- Well he has an ancestor here. That ancestor’s husband died and she tried to make a clay doll to replace him because she couldn’t bare living without him. She was going to use the soul of her husband and put in in the doll, kinda like Kikyo. All this was planned out though by Naraku.

Inuyasha- Naraku?! Do you know where he is now?

Alex- Yeah.

Inuyasha- So what are we waiting on lets go get him!

Alex- It’s not that simple. Both me and you put together cant break his new barrier it has to be destroyed from the inside.

Inuyasha- From the inside? How?

Alex- The doll that MK’s ancestor made brought Naraku a barrier rock and it has to be destroyed for the barrier to diminish.

Inuyasha- So the barrier isn’t broken after the rock is destroyed?

Alex- No but by that time I alone will be able to destroy it so you would have no problem with it either.

Sango- How do we get to the barrier rock?

Alex- That’s the hard part. I don’t know where it is, it is inside Naraku’s castle but I don’t know where that is. I do know how to get somebody there though.

Sango and Inuyasha- How?

Alex- We go to Naraku and get “defeated” not killed but defeated and let Naraku steal away MK and MK can destroy the barrier rock from the inside.

MK- How would I destroy the barrier rock?

Alex- You need to learn a spell from Kakaju.

MK- Again?

Alex- This is a different spell it can break barriers. But you have to get stronger.

We need to go to a port city so we can get to an island. It has a spirit at the top of the mountain that is on the island and we need to fight it.

Shippo- How do we fight a spirit?

Alex- It isn’t so much a “spirit” but a translucent demon.

Shippo- Oh I see.

Inuyasha- So lets go.

Alex- The problem is I don’t know if we are strong enough to fight it yet.

MK- So how do we get stronger?

Alex- Well it’s simple really. We train by fighting demons on Mount. Houho.
Miroku- You mean the mountain that Monks train on? Only a select few have made it to the top.

Alex- And you where one huh?

Miroku- N…not really I was only 12 when I went and I didn’t get past the half way mark.

Alex- Well guess what. You get another chance. Plus I cant believe Mujin let you go that young.

Miroku- He is pretty careless.

Sango- So should we go? (stands up)

Alex- Yeah If you guys are up for it. (everybody stands up)

Inuyasha- I’m up for a good work out.

Kagome- I could use more target practice.

Alex in a low small voice- Aint that the truth.

Kagome- What did you say?! (points an arrow at Alex)
Alex- (flinches back) Oops did I say that out loud?

Kagome- I could really use some prayer beads for you.

Alex- Yeah well…..

Sango- Are we going? (everybody else has walked out and Sango is standing at the door)

(Alex and Kagome walk out with Sango)

~about 4 hours later at the base of Mount Houho~

Kagome- Ah look an inn. (a 2 story inn is in the middle of a few shops and houses)

Alex- Cool we can rest before we go up.

Miroku- But our money is low. How will we pay?

Alex- Don’t worry bout that, I got it covered. (Alex holds up a bag of coins)

Miroku- Where did you get that? That has got to be $500!

Alex- I don’t always hang out with you guys I do side jobs here and there. I got this for a simple demon extermination in a nearby village a while ago.
Inuyasha- Well at least he is honest about his work unlike others.

Kagome, Shippo, and Sango- That’s for real.

(everybody shoots Miroku a dirty look)

Miroku- Hey! That’s not fair now you’re all ganging up on me and I’ll have you know I am honest about my work.

Everyone- (sarcastically) Yeah sure you are.

(Everyone walks into the inn)

(Alex walks up to the desk and the clerk is shaking)
Alex- I’d like to rent a room for the night…… Why are you shaking?

Inn owner- S_so you didn’t come to rob me? Thank God. Many mercenaries and demons have been robbing me lately.

Alex- Nah we don’t rob people we help them with those kind of problems.

Inn owner- Well can you do me a favor? I’ll let you stay for free if you get the guy in the back room to get out.

Alex- What did he do?

Inn owner- He has been here for a week fraternizing with the women and refuses to get out but since he is an extremely strong guy I am not strong enough to force him out.
Alex- Ok let me handle him. He’ll get out one way or another. Why don’t you guys get settled in and I’ll take care of this problem before I join you.

Inuyasha- Ok (everybody but Alex follows the inn owner to a vacant room) (Alex walks to the back room)

~in the back room~

(Alex opens the door)

Alex- You the guy who has been staying here for a week?

Man- Yeah you got business with me?

Alex- Yeah you’re a problem for the town.

Man- Yeah so? What are you gonna do about it?

Alex- If you don’t get out I’m gonna kick you out.

Man- You really want to go up against the great warrior Takeda Tomanari?

Alex- I’d love to. (Takeda pulls out his katana as he stands up)

Alex- That tooth pick isn’t going to do anything against me.

Takeda- We’ll just see about that! (Takeda runs and takes a vertical swing at Alex) (Alex steps to the side and Takeda misses)

(Takeda turns around and takes a stab at Alex)

(Alex turns to the side and Takeda misses again)

(Alex punches Takeda dead between the eyes and he falls back)

Alex- Tch for such a “great” warrior you really suck.

(Takeda gets up)
Takeda- You cocky bastard! (Takeda takes several swings at Alex and Alex avoids them with precise reactions) (Takeda takes a stab at Alex) (Alex grabs the blade of the katana with one hand)

Alex- I’m tired of messing with you, and your sword is dull. You don’t deserve the title of a warrior.

Takeda- Go to hell! (Takeda punches at Alex with his free hand) (Alex grabs Takeda’s fist and twists the sword in Takeda’s other hand and Takeda lets go of the katana and Alex pushes Takeda’s fist back to him)

(Alex flips the katana and takes hold of the handle)

Alex- So are you gonna get out or do I have to kick you out?

Takeda- No way I wont accept defeat against a metal wearing freak like you!

Alex- A what?
Takeda- You heard me, I called you a metal wearing freak!

Alex- I’m tired of people talking about the way I dress! (Alex hits Takeda with the false side of the katana in the head and leaves a red strip)

(Takeda stands there stunned)

Alex- Now get out before I use the real blade.

Takeda- Fine but this isn’t over.

Alex- I don’t care your in my way.

(Takeda takes his sword and walks out of the inn)

(Alex walks into the room were Inuyasha and company are)

~in the room were Inuyasha and company are~

Inuyasha- I don’t smell blood…How did it go?

Alex- Weakling.

Kagome- Anybody want to come shopping with me for dinner ingredients?

Alex- Sure maybe I can look in a few shops to see if we need anything.

~in the town square with Inuyasha, Kagome and Alex~

(people are talking and buying various things and Kagome is looking for ingredients)

(Alex and Inuyasha walk into a weapon shop)

((Alex has his arms crossed looking at the weapons))

Shop keeper- Anything inparticular you are looking for?

Alex- Nah just looking. Wait maybe you can help me do you make sheaths?

Shop keeper- Yes I just need the measurements of the weapon. (Alex hands the shop keeper the measurements for Inuzuma Ryu)

Shop keeper- Any certain material you want it made out of?

Alex- Can you get it in Maple?

Shop keeper- It will take 2 days and $50.

Alex- Ok. (Alex hands him the $50). I’ll be back in 2 days then.

Shop keeper- Thank you.

(Alex continues to look over the selection before leaving)

(a kid sneaks up and trys to grab Inuzuma Ryu and his friend trys to steal Tetsaiga without Inuyasha and Alex looking)

Alex- Kid I wouldn’t touch that if I was you.

Kid- (both kids flinch back) H_how did you know?

Alex- I have hearing better than a demon. Plus my sword would posses you if you grabbed it with both hands.

Kid- Yes sir.
Alex- Why are you trying to steal?

Kid- My mom is sick and we cant afford medicine so I was gonna try to pawn off your swords.

Alex- Why didn’t you just ask?

Kid- Ask? Ask what?

Alex- If I had money for medicine and would help.

Kid- Well can you? (The kids face lights up with expectation)

Alex- Take me to the doctor who diagnosed your mom.

Kid- Ok its this way.

(Alex, Inuyasha, and the 2 brothers walk out of the shop and meet up with Kagome)

Kagome- Where have you guys been? I’ve been looking for you.

Inuyasha- Lay off we were just looking in the weapon shops.

Kagome- Who’s the kids?

Alex- Long story, Inuyasha will tell you while I go help them.

Kagome- ‘K lets go Inuyasha.

Inuyasha- Ok. (Inuyasha and Kagome walk back to the inn)

~at the doctor with Alex and the 2 brothers~

Alex- I want the medicine for these 2’s mother.

Doctor- It costs $200.

Alex- Damn what does she have?!

(the kids lower their heads in disappointment)

Alex- Fine hand it over. (Alex drops the $200 on the counter and takes the wooden bottle of medicine)

~at the sick mothers house with Alex and the 2 brothers~

Kid 1- Momma we got the medicine!

(the kid hands his mom the medicine and she takes it)

Kid 2- She’ll recover right? (looks up at Alex)

Alex- She should.
Mother- I am great full for the medicine. My name is Asuka.

Alex- Hi I heard you were sick from these 2 and decided to help.
Asuka- How can I ever thank you?

Alex- No need to thank me.
Asuka- That doctor is so expensive though.

Alex- I said It is ok. I’m just happy to help.

Kid 1- Thank you so much I don’t know what we would have done if we didn’t get the medicine.

Alex- If you ever need help just ask if I’m around I’ll be happy to help. I need to catch up with my friends so I’ll see ya’ll later. (Alex leaves)

~at the inn with Inuyasha and company~

Kagome- Alex sure is taking long.
Miroku- I wonder if he ran into trouble…

Inuyasha- He can fend for himself. I hate to admit it but he is better at fighting than I first expected.
(Alex walks in)

Alex- I heard what you said Inuyasha are you sick or something you usually don’t say things like that.

Inuyasha- Humph.

Kagome- He just didn’t think you were around to hear him.

Sango- So how did it go?

Alex- I only have $250 left. The doctor is swindling people just because he has a monopoly.

Inuyasha- It’s none of our concern.

Alex- Yeah but something around here is causing all this sickness it isn’t natural.

Sango- You think the doctor has something to do with it?

Alex- It’s possible.

Inuyasha- I said it’s none of our concern we just need to beat that spirit thing at the top of Mount. Houho and go after Naraku.

(a few hours pass with small conversation)

~about 7:30 pm at the inn~

(everybody has gone to the local hot spring and washed and is back at the inn about to go to bed)

(The inn owner comes running into the room)

Alex- What wrong?

Inn owner- (between gasps of air) My wife, Asuka, is being held hostage by that warrior you kicked out for me.

Alex- You mean that woman that was sick and has 2 kids?

Inn owner- Yes. He raided the house and took her hostage demanding you to come there.

(Alex gets up and takes off running out of the inn with Inuyasha and Miroku following)

(a few minutes later Alex slides in front of the open door of the hut he was in with Asuka earlier that day) (Alex sees Takeda holding his sword against Asuka’s neck and the 2 kids are in the corner)

Alex- What do you want now Takeda? I swear if you harm one hair on any of their heads I will personally hang you.

Takeda- Ohh? What do I want? I want a rematch between me and you. A 1 on 1 match no interferences.

Alex- So you want to get you butt kicked again?

Takeda- Don’t be a smart ass (tightens the blade on Asuka’s neck)

Alex- Rrrrrrr. Fine. Let them go and meet me tomorrow morning at the base of the Mount Houho trail.

Takeda- That sounds like a perfect place to kill you. There is just one more rule.
Alex- What’s that?

Takeda- You cant use weapons if you use a weapon I will kill the girl.

Alex- Rrrrrrrrrr. You bastard. Fine but you have to let her go for tonight.

Takeda- My friend here will keep the kids as caladeral. (another man walks out with the kids and walks off)

Alex- Miroku follow him and make sure he doesn’t break the agreement.

Miroku- Ok (Miroku follows the man that took the 2 kids)

(Asuka and everybody but Takeda walk back to the inn and Asuka stays in a room that night guarded by Sango)

~In the morning at the base of Mount. Houho’s trail with Takeda, Alex, Inuyasha, and Kagome~

(Takeda and Alex are facing each other)

Takeda- I said no weapons.

Alex- Shut up I know what you said.

(Alex sticks Inuzuma Ryu in the ground by Inuyasha)

Alex- And I suppose you can use weapons.

Takeda- Exactly.

Kagome- That’s not a fair fight.

Alex- That’s not his style Kagome he’s a wuss. But my role in life is to teach wusses a lesson on fighting fair.

Inuyasha- You sure you wanna go through with this?

Alex- I’m sure. Don’t interfere okay.

Takeda- Are you finished?

Alex- Just let me put on my gloves and we can get started.
