Also I need to give you what these signs mean, even though you have a pretty good idea. *…* -barking/growling, “…” -your usual talking, //…// -thoughts,

Sesshoumaru was making his nightly rounds as usual, making sure there was no other demon trespassing into his forest. But this time he was in his true form, a white, giant dog. He had journeyed to the outside perimeter, pausing when he noticed the full moon shining down in a particular spot.
Jaken was still in the forest, snoozing and unaware of his master’s leaving.
Sesshoumaru followed the white ray until he came over a hill. The moon’s ray led him strait to a young boy tied down onto a tree. His white nose lifted into the air, sniffing of what seemed to be blood. It was freshly cut and deep. His red eyes narrowed to the sight. The boy’s arms were tied together with rope around a branch. The smell told Sesshoumaru the boy was a demon, and also that humans had tied him there. How could a demon let humans get away with this?
The youkai looked up from his chest to the hill in front of him. He smiled when he noticed the dog demon standing there, looking at him. Blood poured down his forehead, arms, and legs. Only a loin cloth concealed his privates. “Hey,” he called hoarsely. “You’re one beautiful dog youkai, you know that?”
~*~
Quietly awakening... I always, always wish that these fleeting thoughts would reach you...
Sesshoumaru’s ears perked up at the mention of his form. Well, he didn’t have any doubt that the young boy was talking to him. He moved closer down the hill to the demon tied to the tree. He halted when he was within biting distance. He lied comfortably on the ground and stared at the weakened demon. His lips curled into a snarl, telling that he was not impressed with a youkai who let humans do this to him.
“Heh,” the demon started. “I only did it to encourage them.”
The white youkai growled. *Pathetic! What is your name, young demon?*
“Toura. I am a tiger demon.” He stood more straightly to face the dog youkai better, but his left leg forbid such a movement, so he just reduced to slouching.
Sesshoumaru cocked his head. The sight of the boy made him feel appalling. Yet, the young youkai was beautiful despite the bruises and deep gashes. Toura reminded Sesshoumaru of his younger brother, with long, white hair, golden eyes, and an inflexible attitude. He snorted and moved his muzzle closer to the youkai and sniffed at his face.
~*~ Unable to move forward across "just a little more" distance The way I see before me is always blocked Every time the days I want to see you but can't pile up, My strong heartbeat turns into heartbreak. ~*~
Toura twitched his own nose to smell the dog demon. It seemed like the old ways of greeting hadn’t deceased yet. He smiled at the sweet aromas lifting from the dog youkai. He could smell pine and sakura all over him. He looked away. “So, what is your name?”
*Sesshoumaru,* the dog growled.
Toura dropped his head to his chest. He was so exhausted. “That is a very beautiful name. Forgive me, I’m just so tired. My wounds are healing slowly.” He coughed lightly and sighed in desperation.
Sesshoumaru grumbled in his throat and lashed out his tongue to lick at a deep wound on the boy’s stomach. The taste of blood from another demon was rich and delicious, but he had not intentions of eating him, only helping him. Why was he helping him anyways? Didn’t he only care for himself? Or was he just lonely for another demon’s company?
Toura groaned in pleasure. “Hm. That feels so good.” Shortly after, the sound of heavy breathing was heard. Toura had fallen asleep from the relaxing licks.
Sesshoumaru’s muzzle moved up to the rope that bounded the boy to the branch. He began gnawing and chewing on the restraints. The rope finally broke and the boy’s body toppled over, landing on the dog youkai’s snout. He carried him back to his forest to lay the boy there for well needed rest.
~*~ If there is such a thing as "eternity," I want to believe, even if I have to take the long way. Although I know that I've been hurt before because I'm clumsy I won't stop; I won't give in to anyone. ~*~
Jaken awoke just in time to see Sesshoumaru return and transform back into his human appearance. But something new was added. A boy was being carried in his arms. He blinked several times before he registered it was young demon that had become injured. “M-master? What are you doing with that youkai? Eh, look at those wounds. He must have been through a human village slaughter.”
Sesshoumaru laid Toura into his nest before glaring at the toad and throwing a small rock at his head. “I want you to go get some water from the river and bring back some vines with large leaves.”
“Uh…yes master. I’ll be right back.” Jaken skipped off toward the river to retrieve the water in a gorge bowl, and some vines, with large leaves, wrapped around his shoulder.
Sesshoumaru shook his head and looked down at the injured form. “You are so beautiful. I want you to be with me.” He gingerly moved his lips over the boy’s face and nuzzled him under the neck. “You are such a masterpiece that has been bestowed upon me.”
~*~ I think of you and that alone is enough to make the tears start to flow now I always, always wish that these fleeting thoughts would reach you... ~*~
Jaken hastily made his way back to his master’s side with the requirements he was assigned to get. “H-here you go master. Some water and vines with large leaves.”
Sesshoumaru nodded and sent the toad away from view and then went to work on the boy’s injured form. He poured the gorge of water into his mouth and wiped the blood off with the leaves, then wrapped the left leg with the vines and the sticks that he found around the bushes. He had noticed Toura’s left leg broken when it lied loosely down from his muzzle.
He gave a small smile of endorsement. It was a job well done if he didn’t mind saying so himself. He knew the boy would be healed by morning though. He wrapped his fur around the boy and lied next to him. It was going to be a cold night and what better way is there than to snuggle up to a very hot demon?
~*~ I've known all too well about pretending to be strong. But since then, my doubts have vanished. ~*~
The next morning Sesshoumaru was awakened by a warm wetness in his ear. He scrunched his nose and looked up at the source. It was Toura. “What are you doing?”
The young youkai smiled. “Sexually teasing you.”
Sesshoumaru blushed faintly and looked away. He cleared his throat before turning back to him. “Um. Since you’re awake I wanted to ask you how you got so beaten up and tied to that tree.”
Toura frowned. “Do we need to discuss this? When I woke up and saw you I just happened to realize that you were that dog demon, and now that I see you in human form you’re even more beautiful. I was hoping I could just stay here with you without any memories.”
Sesshoumaru nodded in understanding. “I’m sorry. But if you told this to me, I’d think you’d feel much better.”
~*~ There's definitely things I want to show you And so many words I want to hear I want to see all sides of you, when you laugh and cry So I'll stop waiting and seize my "chance." ~*~
Toura nodded. “Yes. It probably would.” He was surprised when the older demon took him into his arms and began running his fingers through his long hair. He held onto Sesshoumaru’s back and snuggled his face into the soft fabric on the older demon’s chest. “I-I only wanted to save my brother. But demon slayers had killed him in a village that the humans had gotten a hold of me in.” He sighed in relief when he rested his head against Sesshoumaru’s shoulder with the soft fur. That same smell of pine and sakura drifted to his nose.
“Go on,” Sesshoumaru urged gently.
“I walked into that village without thinking and just happen to see the slayers slaughter my brother. After watching this, my body couldn’t run from the mob charging at me. They ripped my clothes off and started using scythes and other weapons to cut me and kill me. But they decided not to kill me. They wanted to torture me instead. So, they tied me up to that tree you found me on and then broke my left leg so I wouldn’t try to escape. With all the injuries they had given me I was too weak to heal properly. They told me that a ‘dog demon would come down over the hill and eat me for his supper.’” He looked up at Sesshoumaru’s face with a banter smile. “Heh, and here I find the exact opposite. He brings me to his forest to tend my wounds and curl up with me for warmth.”
~*~ I think of you, and I feel like that alone is enough to make my heart grow stronger. I always, always wish that these fleeting thoughts would reach you... ~*~ Sesshoumaru chuckled. Something you don’t hear everyday. He nuzzled the demon and kissed him repeatedly on the lips. “Will you be with me? I want you.” Toura nodded and returned the kisses with passion. “Yes, for eternity. It’s the least I can do after you saved me.” “Well, that’s what we have.” Sesshoumaru smiled and wrapped his arms around the young youkai. It was a fast commitment and he knew it probably wouldn’t last long, just like the moment they first met and wanted each other. It was only destined for a little while, until they would both want to move on to other things in their life. Sesshoumaru struggled with his thoughts. //Those miserable humans. Here they try to feed me another demon whom was barely dead to begin with and yet they have been trying to destroy me for the past hundred years. Disgusting creatures. How could father love them so much? // Toura sighed in relief and cuddled into Sesshoumaru’s grip. It was warm and safe. He wanted to stay here like this forever. ~*~ I think of you and that alone is enough to make the tears start to flow now my distant voice can't reach you now, but so that someday it definitely will... Believe. la la la la la la... Believe. la la la la la la... Believe. la la la la la la... ~*~ Jaken shook his head in disappointment after ease dropping on the two youkais. “Humans are such miserable creatures. They just simply don’t understand demons. Now that Sesshoumaru has heard the story from his new lover he’ll kill all the humans that get in his way. Hopefully, that young demon won’t get into any more trouble, or I’ll be the one to blame, if knowing my master right.” ~Owari
