PAGE 2: BACK & FORWARD BROWSING

AN INTRODUCTION TO THE WORLD WIDE WEB

You have now reached another page on the CYBERGUIDE Web Site.

You can, however, easily return to the previous page. This is called BACK BROWSING.

Up near the top left hand corner of your browser panel you will see two buttons with arrows, or BACK and FORWARD on them (depending upon whether you are using Explorer or Navigator).
One is to take you back to the last page you viewed in your browser,
while the other will take you forward a page.

Try them out. Click now on the BACK button,
then when you arrive at the previous page, click on the FORWARD button to return here.

It's easy, isn't it? LET'S CONTINUE, shall we...

If the BACK and FORWARD buttons are not shown in your browser, you will need to perform the following task:

If you are using Internet Explorer, click on VIEW, then select TOOLBARS, and make sure that "Standard Buttons" has a tick beside it.
If not, click on STANDARD BUTTONS and a tick should appear. So too will your BACK and FORWARD buttons.

If you are using Netscape Navigator, click on VIEW, then select SHOW, and make sure that "Navigation Toolbar" has a tick beside it.
If not, click on NAVIGATION TOOLBAR and a tick should appear. So too will your BACK and FORWARD buttons.
