Local clinics, both medical and dental, are available in the Shariki area but tend to have limited facilities and offer little to no after hours care. Tsugaru City's designated medical facility is the Tsugaru City Adult Medical Center, located near City Hall in the Kizukuri district of the city. The hospital provides a wide range of services, from internal medicine to physiology to surgery and emergency after hours care. Patients are taken from 8:30 A.M. until 11:00 A.M. on weekdays, and the hospital is closed on weekends and Japanese holidays (note: emergency care is available 24 hours a day throughout the year)*. Another local option for treatment is the Seihoku Hospital in nearby Goshogawara City, which is slightly larger and capable of providing a wider range of services. Receiving hours vary by department, but are generally from 8:30 A.M. until 11:00 A.M. on weekdays. Weekend examinations are also available for most departments, and 24 hour emergency care is available throughout the year*. Although smaller and somewhat more limited than Seihoku Hospital, Masuta Hospital is another good option in Goshogawara City due to its more flexible hours and modern facilities. Walk-in patients are taken from 9:00-11:00 A.M. and 2:00-4:00 P.M*. *Note: Hours subject to change. Current as of 3/2007. |
