1874- Born in San Francisco on March 26, Parents- Isabelle Moodie and William Prescott Frost Jr.
1876- His little sister, Jeanie Florence is born.
1779- Frost first day of kindergarten but goes home because of a nervous stomach.
1880- Frost goes back to school and enters the first grade but drops out again.
1881- Frost returns to school and starts the second grade.
1882- Frost ends up dropping out of school and gets home schooled.
1885- His father dies on May 5 from tuberculosis, only leaving eight dollars to the family after all the bills are paid. The family moves to live with grandparents in Lawrence, Massachusetts. Frost tests into the third grade and Jeanie starts the fourth grade.
1886- The family moved to Salem Deport, New Hampshire, where his mother got a teaching job to teach fifth through eighth graders. Frost and Jeanie both enter into the fifth grade.
1888- Frost passes the entrance examination test and starts Lawrence High School, enters into the classical, college level, program. Frost�s mother quits her teaching job.
1889- Frost finishes school at the top of his class.
1890- Frost enters the first two of his published poems, �La Noche Triste� and �The Song of the Wave� in the Lawrence High School Bulletin.
1891- Frost becomes the chief editor of the Bulletin for the school year. Passes entrance examinations for Harvard College. He meets and falls in love with Elinor Miriam White.
1892- Frost becomes engaged to Elinor. Instead of going to Harvard, Frost goes to Dartmouth College because it is cheaper and because his grandparents accused Harvard for his father�s habits. He becomes bored with school and quits Dartmouth.
1893- Frost begins teaching eighth graders for several weeks. He tries and fails to get Elinor to marry him before she goes back to St. Lawrence University in Canton, New York.
1894- Frost goes back to teaching first through six grades. He discovers that The Independent will publish his �My Butterfly: An Elegy� poem and will receive fifteen dollars. He goes and tries again to convince Elinor to marry him and returns back to Lawrence.
1895- Frost gets a job as a reporter for the Daily American and Sentinel in Lawrence. Starts teaching at Salem district school and finally marries Elinor on December 19.
1896- On September 25, Frost first son Elliott is born.
1897- Frost passes the Harvard College entrance exam again and borrows money from grandparents and starts Harvard as a freshman.
1899- Frost dropouts out of Harvard. On April 28, his daughter Lesley is born and finds out his mother has advanced cancer.
