How To Be I had a dream we didn't have to feel Everybody walked around Choosing randomly all of their meals There was a scene starring a clean-cut me My character had never known Of love or life or simply how to be And it was perfect So then I began to learn I scoped out the scene found those who I found mean Told them I would see them around A block or square I'd never feel to meet Saw all of my friends happy to see my face I could comprehend what one Could gain by being in the comfort of a familiar place And it was perfect The butter in my brain had churned How will I choose which way to go I don't know But at least I'm not alone Now I don't feel alone Now I never cheat don't feel the need to win I never laugh or cry or sulk Or be afraid I never seem to soften I sit in a chair don't live to desire When I'm on my rocketship I never cringe when we keep getting higher and higher And it was perfect -------- Written by Spencer MacEachern
