Away with all the troubles that you’ve made. March 9 2004 I saw it landing A hot shot piercing my sky At first sight it was a hole in a broken cloud (Or) the end of a world It flashed, erased stars It didn’t stop cars Nobody pulled over on the expressway I am a lonely witness Over the hills and far away You and I We sat atop a grassy rock I knew we’d come to I just couldn’t catch tha jewels On rare occasions we found new stations But most of the tracks led to undesired destinations We were anywhere but home I felt it land I felt me choke The masses felt neither It spun and twirled and soccerballed towards me and mine A deranged and somersaulting giant It’s thunder echoed inside me Echoed inside me echoed inside me My poker face immaculate if not for one tear Hopped inside as she tumbled across A jagged handle had called made me jump from your Motherly comfort To a dank hole With a fresh kettle brewing inside Whose bag of leaves rid me of dizzyness As I poured my first cup I knew we were lost When the comet settled (With her brother pavement) I took a panoramic shot The grass couldn’t have looked greener/more fresh-cut And the sky as blue as the sea So I climbed a Jacaranda tree And found myself staggering as I descended I’ve never been one for the change of such great heights
