Now you are playing your character, but you are not
your character right? Well in that case your character is different in the
sense that he maybe stronger or weaker then you, he may be wiser or more
foolish then you. There are big differences in what you can do and what he can
do. So we have some thing called a character sheet that basically describes
what your character can do in the sense of what he is capable of doing
physically. At this specific site http://www.angelfire.com/realm/wwrpg/_Blank.doc
you will be able to view are most up to date character sheet that we have. Now
for most efficient risen I will ask to open that up on another window, so I can
explain every thing in detail.
For
starters I will start with the difference between attribute, skills, feats, and
stats.
Attributes
are basically base abilities. Meaning how strong you are, or how much you know
about everything. Or how fast you are. That’s an
attribute.
A
Skill is some thing that takes a stat in specific. Meaning how well you are at
attacking with a sword, or how much you know about the history of some thing.
A
feat is an ability. Some thing that you character has
learned how to do. Basically some thing like being able to
shoot two arrows in a turn, or being proficient with a weapon.
A
stat is the sum of a specific ability. Meaning your stat for history lore woud be based off of your
attribute “knowledge” and your skill in “history lore” and an special feat you
might have that will add to it. You add all those together, and that will equal
your stat.
This is a list of all the attributes and what they do.
Endurance: this is basically how much energy you guys has. When fighting this is a key necessity because whenever
you attack you may lose some endurance when you defend you may lose some
endurance, if you run so fast over a period of time you may lose some
endurance. How much endurance you lose depends on the situation and for attacking/running
it depends on your character speed. Endurance can be gained by braking, taking
moments for air, any thing that you would to regain breath after a long
run or after wrestling or some thing your character could do to, if that makes
any sense at all. For short we call endurance EP for Endurance points.
Health: this is your health points. This is saying how
intact or how damaged your characters body is. Meaning if you been stabbed you
may lose two Health. Health is a lot harder to regain the endurance, you have
to take several days usually to regain lose Health, and even when you do. It
still remains as a scare, which at times can still affect your character. Every
one has the same health, its always ten. Think of it
as a percentage of how good of a condition your body is in. Every Health you
lose affects all other stats. If you lose one health you have a -10% to all
stats. For short we call Health HP for health points
Dexterity: this is your characters maneuverability. A lot
of important stats are based off this. Things like defense or any thing that
pretty much involves moving around.
Strength: this is pretty much self explanatory; basically
it shows how strong your character is. Stats such as sword fighting or fist
fighting are based of this, any thing that involves
muscle involves this attribute.
Speed: this has little to do with how fast you are (though
it does have some thing to do with it), but it mostly has to do with how much
EP you lose when you make an action. Most of this attribute is mainly just for
the GM, so don’t worry to much on trying to understand
it.
Knowledge: this is your characters over all idea of how
much he knows. Note this is not intelligent, this says nothing of how smart you
are, this is some thing like understand politics,
knowing prices of items, knowing how to travel. Things like that. Most skills
are based under this attribute.
Magic Knowledge: this describes your knowledge of magic,
and also your ability to critically think. This is mainly only important to wizards.
Though it effects your magic defense, which is your
ability to defend against magic this is important to any one who wants to fight
wizards. Though Magic defense is attached to magic knowledge it is not entirely
the same stat. If you desire to raise this but not your knowledge, talk to the
GM about it.
Awareness: this is how fast your character reacts to things
that he just became aware to, how good you are at noticing things. Basically its pretty much just how aware your character is.
Control: This says how well your character can concentrate
on stuff, basically its your patients so to speak. As
an example this might be used to see how long you can do some thing such as
reading. Concentration is based under control just as Magic defense is to magic
knowledge, if you which to upgrade concentration alone talk to the GM.
Appearance: this is how you look. There is no role in this.
Skills
The are way to
many skills to try to list them all, but for a basic idea of what some skills
are you can go to http://www.angelfire.com/realm/wwrpg/_Blank.doc
to get an idea.
Feats
Feats
are the same as skills, but unfortunately feats are more random then skills, so
we don’t even keep most of the feats written down.
Stats
As I
said before stats are made up of all the other abilities you have. To identify
your Stat at some thing, you add up all the skills attributes and feats in a
specific area. It is really quit easy to find out what your stat is in some
thing. Just think what attribute it might use, meaning if your looking for a
person you would want to use awareness, then add the skill search or find
person or whatever works, then if you have any form of feat that adds, then put
that in there, then the sum of all those numbers is what the specific stat will
be.
Level
Your level tells you how high, or powerful your
character is. With levels you gain character points, skill points, and feats.
Use character points to raise attributes, use skill points to raise skills, and
use feats to gain feats. Level basically show how experienced your character
is.
Experience
Experience
is some thing you gain from doing things. With experience points you gain
levels. Every 25 experience you gain, you pass one level, the higher the level
the less experience you gain.
