" Just letting you all know that I am back in Australia now.
I have taken up an offer for a fairly good position in the Gold
Coast Queensland. I am still working for MWH, but have been seconded
to the Gold Coast Council to work there for at least 6 months,
if not more. Had my first day today and start work with the council
tomorrow. Lokking forward to it as the job sounds pretty good,
fair bit of responsibility etc and a step up. Also loving the
fact that MWH are putting me up in a great hotel right next to
the beach in Surfers Paradise. I am on the 15th floor with a great
view of both the beach and the hotel pool, LOVING LIFE!!!! Only
there for 2 weeks whilst I look for more permanent accomodation,
but just looking around today and I think I'll probably end up
finding a place in or near Surfers anyway as has everything I
need and is only 20mins walk from my work.
Only got here today as I spent a week in Singapore last week and then this weekend just gone I had a rushed visit to Adelaide to catch up with family and friends. Surprised my dad for his 60th birthday, he thought I was going straight from Singapore to Brisbane. Singapore was great but you only need the 4 days I had to see everything. If I had of stayed longer I would have gone up to Malaysia. But as it was MWH wanted me to start late Feb but I pushed that back to today so I could see family in UK one more time and have at least 1 week off on way home.
