Welcome to the Bridge.

Located at the top of the saucer section on A deck, the bridge is the primary location that all commands are issued from. The bridge is large enough to also provide comfort for the many people working simultaneously.

The Captain's chair is located in the center of the room on a small raised platform.  From here the Captain (or senior duty officer) can watch over all operations on the bridge.

On the left side of the captains chair is the Weapons station.  From here the Armory officer can control the hull plating strength and fire torpedo's and pulse lasers.  Sensors can also be monitored through this station.
Opposite of the weapons station is the science station.  From here the science officer on duty watches for all activity that takes place off the ship.  This includes incoming ships and stellar bodies and identifies.  The NX class starship uses a modified Vulcan sensor suite.

In front of the captains chair is the helm station.  This station used for setting ship courses and for monitoring the status of all engine systems.

On the left front side is the engineering station.  When desired all engine functions can be controlled from this area.  They include engine performance, diagnostics of the ship systems, and power management.

On the right front side is the communications station.  Access to the linguistic database can be found here and communication within the ship or to another source can be controlled.  Communication buoys and probes can be launched and tracked from this station.

Located behind the captain's chair at the back of the bridge is a briefing area where the operations officer works.  From this large ship systems monitor, the operations officer can oversee any function that is taking place on the ship or within sensor range.  Senior staff meetings are also located here.
