| I knew Buffalo would turn up eventually, but did not expect them as roadhogs in South Dakota's Custer State Park. An entire herd appears in my video, treating the road as their own private trail. Buffalo are definitely making a comeback. | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||

| Park rangers later warned me that Buffalo were dangerous, which may be true. But that was after I had already been very close to them in both South Dakota and Yellowstone. They seemed harmless in my first encounter, very willing photographic subjects. (Far more cooperative than Pronghorn Antelope, who always ran away from me.) | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
