It seems Alexandre Daigle isn't having any problems scoring off the ice.
The Sun has learned the former Senators' star, who spent his summer training in Los Angeles and living in Beverly Hills, was in town Thursday boasting about a romantic relationship with former Baywatch babe Pamela Anderson Lee.
Daigle, 23, who was traded to the Philadelphia Flyers last January, wasn't hiding the fact the two are an item by showing off photos of himself with Anderson Lee to employees at a local restaurant during his one-day stay in Ottawa.
The dressing room at a suburban arena, where the Senators have been preparing for training camp, was abuzz yesterday with talk about the affair, which reportedly started a month ago when the two met in L.A.
Daigle was en route to New York for a mini-vacation yesterday before heading to Philadelphia for training camp and could not be reached for comment on the relationship. Representatives for Anderson Lee in California did not return phone calls.
"It's true," said one Senators' player, who asked not to be identified. "From what I understand they've been on three or four dates and they met each other about a month ago. I'm not sure how it started but they're still talking.
"I guess he had pictures and everything to prove it."
While Daigle has had a difficult time finding his scoring touch during his five years in the NHL, the young bachelor, who aspires to an acting career, has never had a problem with the ladies.
The first priority of his trip was to train for a successful season in Philadelphia, but Daigle also loves the lifestyle in Hollywood and is determined to be part of it. Anderson Lee isn't his only brush with fame.
One player insisted Daigle also spent time at the Playboy Mansion and met tycoon Hugh Hefner during the L.A. visit which lasted more than two months. Anderson Lee is a former centrefold.
She is estranged from rocker husband Tommy Lee. He is serving six months in prison for felony spousal abuse, a charge that was laid after the couple had a dispute in February. Their divorce is proceeding.
According to insiders in L.A., Anderson Lee has most recently been linked romantically to surfer Kelly Slater -- who she dated before she met Lee -- but "that doesn't mean she isn't playing the field."
Anderson Lee, a Vancouver native who moved into a new home in L.A. and is caring for the couple's two children with help from her parents, will star in a new action/comedy series this fall called VIP.
She recently told a magazine that she was enjoying the freedom of being single but missed her former mate.
"Tommy and I had a real soul connection," she said in the June/July issue of JANE magazine. "I mean, there's not a minute that goes by that I'm not thinking about him and hoping that he's doing well."
