Doctor Worm

Name: Doctor Worm
Real name: Worm
Height: 5'11"
Weight: 200 lbs.
Eyes: Brown
Hair: Black
Distinguishing features: On back of his right hand is tatooed in black the kanji symbol for eternity; on his right palm is a tatoo of a ouroborous-style dragon (biting it's tail).

Description: Dark blue jacket, maroon shirt, dark green pants, pilot's goggles resting on forehead, white scarf, brown leather gloves, black boots.

Powers: Through some form of energy projection, Doctor Worm can cause weapons and other items he holds to become nearly unbreakable; has ability to create a "no-sound" zone up to a distance of five feet away from him; superhuman night vision. Also a extremely good marksman.

It appears that Doctor Worm's silence zone was actually the man absorbing the sound waves. The energy that he used to make his weapons quite strong was actually the sound energy, redirected. After the battles with Exodus and Rayden, Worm seemed to have stored an excess of sound energy. Thus, the energy needed a way to be let off, and let off it did. Worm now can fire sound "beams", letting off excess energy. With training, Worm might be able to control sound ala Havok.
After Stephens casting, a new uncanny ability is bestowed upon the now more human Dr. Worm, he suddenly finds himself blessed with small ghost parasitic creatures that, imbedded in his skin absorb and convert Light and Sound energies automatically for Dr. Worm's use in creating his Sound barrier, shields and power beams. *and whatever else he can do.*

Because they do this without his concious knowledge, he will find a nearly never ending supply of energy to support his sound modifying skills.

Weapons: Hand-made spear, throwing knives.

History: In the sewers of New York City, a group of mutants banded together and called themselves Morlocks. These outcasts lived in their own society, away from the prejudice and hatred above ground. Into this refuge was born a mutant with no name other than Worm.
Worm lived among the other Morlocks, growing up a normal (or at least as normal as he could be) mutant. He discovered his powers while playing games with his friends. No matter how hard they tried, they just couldn't catch Worm when playing in the dark. He was unheard, unseen.
Worm's life changed drastically, though, when the Mauraders were led into the Morlock tunnels and the Mutant Massacre began. All around him, he saw the death and chaos. Among the causualties were his friends and parents. Worm remembers seeing the X-Men and thinking to himself, if only he could fight for what they do.
After the Mutant Massacre, the Morlocks were left to lick their wounds. Worm trained hismelf to become a fighter for good, a hero. Taking on the title of Doctor, Worm set out with his hand-made spear and throwing knives to try and spread justice.
Doctor Worm found the harsh reality of life above ground to be daunting. Hatred, prejudice, and above all, xenophobia towards mutants was too much for the young man to handle. As a way to take a break, Doctor Worm retreated to Japan to study his ancestors.
While in Japan, Professor Charles Xavier suddenly led a coup of the American governement, with memebers of his X-Men following him. Recognizing that this wasn't the childhood idols that saved the Morlocks that day, Worm dedicated himself from that day to stopping the threat of this false justice.

With his death and sudden rebirth, something odd has happened to Doctor Worm. A darkness seems to befallen him. What comes next for this Morlock, born and reborn in the night?

Appearance: Worm's skin is now a deathly pale; his tatoo on his right backhand stands out strikingly black. A rather large hole is in his chest, from where he was speared. His goggles are missing, and Worm now wears a black scarf to conceal his face.

Abilities: Worm is now a zombie; as such, he posses new strengths. Worm now has enhanced speed, enhanced strength, a very slow regenration process (although brains and grave dirt when ingested speed the process up), and perfect night vision.

Powers: Worm now commands the earth as his main power. His sonic abilities have vanished, or are merely repressed. Either way, Worm is now a earth elemental, so to speak. He can control the earth in a twenty yard radius, including upwards. Worm can also shift the earth into an armor of sorts, giving him earth-enhanced strength. With earth-enhancments at optimal conditions*, Worm can punch at over ten tons, survive a hit at fifteen tons (internal damage begins to occur at over fifteen tons), lift up to twenty tons upwards twenty yards within a twenty yard radius (by shifting the earth), burrow underground rapidly, travel through the ground very quickly, fire stone spikes at 200 mph, and overall shift the earth as he sees fit. Without earth-enhancements, Worm can punch at one ton, survive a one ton hit, lift one ton overhead, and fire stone spikes at 100 mph.

Weaknesses: Worm, being a zombie, cannot stand holy items/magiks, fire, and exposure to the sun. Also, Worm needs to consume either a kilogram of grave dirt or one human brain once every week to stay undead.

Recently, Worm's gotten back his goggles and acquired a new spear and several new knives. He has learned how to vibrate his bladed weapons to make them deal greater damage. Worm can also fly at sub-sonic speeds, though flying drains him physically. He can achieve a maximum distance of maybe 150-200 miles before he is spent.
Also, Worm is working on his room. His room, when comleted, will contain Worm's Zen Buddhist artifacts he carries with him. That's right, Worm is a Buddhist; if you'll notice, he did visit Japan in order to get in touch with his ancestors (Worm is part-Japanesse).
A Hero Machine picture is soon to follow (read: When I figure the damned thing out...)

The Skrulls came, and the world was never the same again. Much of Earth was devestated, including New York City. The X-Corps and the Resistence found themselves fighting alongside each other uneasily, trying to stop a common threat. Not everyone survived the war. Worm was one of those people.
Worm was taking shelter in a building along with several Morlocks he had found and recruited. A contingent of Skrulls, including the Super Skrull, attacked the building, hoping to establish a foothold. Worm and the Morlocks fought valiantly and repelled the attackers, but in the end a duel with the Super Skrull resulted in Worm being mortally wounded. Venom arrived and transported Worm to the Resistence base. There was little hope to save the fallen hero. As a last ditch attempt, Worm had his brain waves digitilized and uploaded into the Resistence computers. As his body died, Worm's mind lived on in electronic form. After helping to program the weapon that seperated Onslaught's personalities, Worm also requested a physical body he could upload into. Doom and Forge built one for the disembodied hero.
Currently, Worm resides in the computer banks at Castle Doom. He runs the vast computer banks there.

Powers: After the loss of his physical body, Worm has lost all powers he once had. Now as an electronic entity, Worm can upload himself into other computers and robots, travel the internet and take over other computers or electronics, and upload himself into his personal mechanical body.

Stats (Worm's mechanical body):
Height: 6'6"
Weight: 350 lbs
Strength: 50 tons (lift)*, 35 tons (punch)*
Agility: Olympic athlete
Speed: 30 MPH*

Weapons: Worm uses a quarter-staff that delivers an electric charge when it come near or into contact with a target. He also employs specialty grenades and various explosive charges.

Other: Worm's body is constructed from a adamintium alloy; while not as strong as pure adamintium, the alloy is still highly durable. Worm also has an impressive sensor package. From the body, Worm can upload his conciousness into other robots and computers.

*(Note: These are maximums. Worm usually operates well under his limits.)

After having had his previous body hijacked by Thermal, Worm built a new body utilizing Tony Stark's Iron Man design. The specs are as follows:

Strength: 80 tons (can be boosted using a external power source with the risk of damaging the body's circutry)
Flight speed: Mach 1.2 (960 MPH)
Weaponry: Quarter-staff that can deliver an electric charge when it contacts an item, or can fire a variety of loads (electric blast, energy blast, laser, sonic beam). Worm is skilled in using the quarter-staff as a weapon. Also, Worm uses specialty grenades (frag, flame, sticky, ice, light, smoke, sonic). Worm typically carries a couple of each.
Durability: Worm's body is made of Secondary Adamintium; much like Ultron's outer shell, Worm's body can take a beating but is not near as strong as True Adamintium.

Weaknesses: Worm is vulnerable to an EMP charge; he will be rendered "unconcious" for a time. Also, Worm can be attacked on the electronic level, and fought within computers.

Update: Worm's returned to the present through the Siege Perilous; his body has been changed. It can be inferred that the future Madrox on board the ship at the time of the future members returning was somehow merged with Worm's memories. Because this was an alternate future that may or may not occur, Madrox's personality is not present. Here's the breakdown. Appearance: Worm now appears to be in his sixties. His hair is long and white, while his features are weathered. Upon his return, he was wearing an old black business suit under a green trenchcoat. Powers: Worm's powers now stem from a link to the Darkforce dimension. As such, he can manifest doppelgangers of himself composed of Darkforce, what he has hasilty termed "dark forms." These dark forms possess superhuman strength (Class 10, or ten tons), a regeneration ability, and can also absorb others into their form. After a short time, the dark form will "digest" the engulfed person and regurgitate any indigestible items. It is unknown where the digested persons go, although the Darkforce dimension is suggested. Worm's concentration is required for the dark forms to exist. If he is knocked unconscious or otherwise, the dark forms will dissapate. Worm himself also possess superhuman strength (same as dark forms). He has also manifested a slight ability to sense others he is close to, presumably through their dark side. Other notes: Worm's memory, as a result of his robot body being destroyed and of the trip through the Siege Perilous, has been corrupted. As such, certain memories may not be entirely correct. He cannot remember any of his time in the future.
