Intelligence: 7
Strength: 2
Speed: 2
Durability: 2
Agility: 3
Reflexes: 2
Fighting Ability 5.25
I'd transelate that to being
Genius-level intellect, somewhere close to 200 IQ points perhaps...
Normal speed, strength, durability and reflexes for a 'regular person' (in this
case, mutant adventurer) who engages in exercises and stuff) Erm, can run the
mile in just under 8 minutes, and lift erm, 45 pounds without her back giving
out (unless she phases it out a bit, and then she can lift heavier stuff and
people, who are phased to have less weight and stuff so that they come to that
45 pounds). She's passed all those little 'knee-tap' tests of the doctors to
test for reflexes...
Her agility is at peak-human, meaning that's she's fast, but it's not mutant
powers related. And her fighting ability is the result of the ninja training she
recieved from Wolverine, making her (while not his match in the dirty tricks
department) his protege and non-quite equal in ninja combat skills.
Powers:
the ability to pass through solid matter by passing her
atoms through the spaces between the atoms of the object through which she is
moving. In this way she and the object through which she is passing can
temporarily merge without interacting, and each is unharmed when she has
finished passing through the object. This process is called "phasing." When
sheis phasing, she is, for all intents and purposes, intangible. Hence, when
attacked, she can shift into a "phasing" state so as to allow oncoming
projectiles or energy blasts to pass through her harmlessly. While phasing she
is still vulnerable to psionic or mystical attack.
Katherine can phase through any material object, even living people. When she
phases through an object with an electrical system, the process disrupts the
system's workings. Using her phasing ability, she can walk on air. In fact, she
can use her ability to walk on the air from the ground to the upper stories of a
building as if she were climbing a staircase.
From the first use of her phasing power, Katherine has been able to phase her
clothing along with herself. Through practice she has learned to phase other
objects along with herself without harm to them, and can now phase a living
person with herself. She can also enable someone to "walk on air" along with her.
However, she must maintain physical contact with the person or object she phases
along herself for the effect to work with this other person or object.
Firstly, by now, Kitty would be in her late
20's, since it is 6 years in the future, so I think she could lift more than 45
pounds; the girl kept in shape. I think she could lift at least 60, maybe 70 lbs.,
but nothing over 100, I'd guess.
Her speed is good but not peak human, which is about 15-25 mph running. Her
stamina would, again, be good but not peak, which
means she can sustain her top physical performance for 1 minute. She can take
about the same damage that a normal person can take, i.e. a punch from someone
at peak human strength could KO her; anyone over 2 ton strength class may even
kill her with a decent shot. She also cannot dodge bullets unless she started
moving before the gunman actually fired. Of course, adrenaline in "life-or-death"
situations can increase some of these.
Kitty has genius level IQ that makes her one of the smartest people in the
Marvel Universe; her specialty is computers. Besides having extensive martial
arts knowledge, Kitty can use some hand-to-hand weapons with skill, which
include swords, knives, nunchuks, and even claws.
Special Skills:
Genius level intellect, master in the martial arts, and
extensive computer and electronics knowledge.
Bio:
A seemingly normal 13-year-old, Kitty Pryde began suffering headaches of
steadily increasing frequency, duration and intensity as a result of her
emerging mutation. Kitty's condition brought her to the attention of Professor
Charles Xavier and Emma Frost, both advanced mutant telepaths. Each attempted to
convince Kitty's parents that she should attend their respective school. She
ended up with Xavier's, and joined the X-Men.
After a long and adventurous run with the X-Men (during which she aquired her
long-time friend and 'pet' Lockheed, a dragon of another planet) she joined up
with Excalibur. However, after the relavation that Xaiver was Onslaught and the
death of Pete Wisdom in Genosha, she, Nightcrawler, and Colossus returned to the
states, and ended up joining Xavier/Onslaught on his quest for world peace,
after having endured too much 'mutie' pregadice.
Colossus was given control over Austraila, and Kitty accompanied him to help him
in his new command. Two years later, the two were married, and are now
contemplating a child, as the future finally seems secure ane peaceful enough,
something Kitty had never thought possible
The Time Gap- aka What Happened with Kitty?
The following is what happened to Kitty since the Skrulls came in and changed
the world.
Just before the Skrulls came
Kitty was at the X-Mansion on a visit, while Lockheed and Pitor remained in
Australia. While there, Kitty met some of the other members of the Corps who had
never been X-Men, and was disturbed by some of their bloodthirsty enthuisam. She
still believed in the professor, and in the Dream he espoused, a dream that she
believed had come true since Xavier took up the mantle of Onslaught.
The Skrull Invasion
However, things were not that way, and when on a mission with the corps to New
York, the Skrulls attacked. In order to survive and help repel the invasion, the
corps were forced to team with whatever help was available-the resistance. In
the middle of the war (i'm assuming it wasn't a three hour thing, but maybe a
couple of months) Kitty learned she was pregnant. She lost the baby some days
later, and it devistated her.
Shortly after the war ended, Kitty went back to Australia where she and Pitor
had a pivitol arguement. She was angry, feeling that Pitor had 'wrapped her in
lamb's wool' and kept the darker elements of the dream's reality from her,
because he wanted to believe so badly that he turned a blind eye to the problems
Onslaught's solution had brought about. She told him about the baby, about how
he'd retreated into his paintings, and refused to see the truth. Much of Kitty's
pain came from the fact that she too had not seen the truth of what she had been
a part of. With her Jewish heritage, she was crushed by the fact that she'd been
part of the 'murder of spirit' of a people much like her people had been killed
in the Holocaust.
It was after this arguement that Kitty left, departing for unspecified parts
with Lockheed.
Pitor/Colossus went and was part of the Order of the Phoenix, who helped to
seperate Jean from Phoenix again. Colossus' participation in this event may have
been because of the conversation with Kitty, and his need to make amends for
past wrongs.
Kitty Now
Real Name
Katherine "Kitty" Pryde-Rasputin
Current Alias- Kaitlyn
Code Name: Current-
Sprite, Former- Shadowcat, Ariel, Sprite
Kitty is now about 28 years old, and still technically married to Colossus. She
has not seen him since the arguement and the departing from Australia over a
year ago.
In that year, she went back to Chicago, and tried to find her family. She
couldn't. She did, however, spend some time in the city, revisting places she'd
been to before she joined the X-Men and getting a feel for her hometown. She has
been traveling under an assumed name, and has not donned the costume of the X
since the war's end. She does, however, have a solid black full body costume and
her old triangle mask in her luggage, in case the need to be a superhero arrises.
She has also given up the name of 'Shadowcat', because of it's ties to the X-Corps
and the wrongs done under that name, in the name of Xavier's Dream. Instead, she
has decided that she will call herself 'Sprite' again, as she is very serrious
about going back and finding herself again.
She has also chopped off her long curly hair, and wears her hair at chin-lenght
now.
Right now, she has just gotten off a plane to NY city and plans to visit the
Xavier Institute.
The Arguement between Pitor and Kitty, after
the Skrull War and before the Order of Phoenix 'adventures'
( I'm going to rp this section out a bit, as I
believe it was a crucial turning point in Kitty's life and way of thinking about
herself and her world.)
Kitty watched her husband as he stood across the table from her. She could tell
he was angry, with her and with himself. And maybe at the world as well.
"Why didn't you tell me that you were pregnant?" Pitor asked, the tone harsher
than he'd wanted but what was said was said, and he couldn't undo it.
"Why are you accusing me?" Kitty cried out, angered that he was acting so mean
about it, when she'd not even known herself, and had yet to come to a sort of
closure on the issue. "It was during a war! What did you think I could do, sit
it out and watche people I cared about die!?!" She felt tears sting in her eyes,
and wiped them away with the back of her hand.
"Katya, I'm not accusing you..." Pitor began, but Kitty cut him off.
"Pitor, that's not even the important part of it! We've been living a lie for
the last several years, ever since the professor was taken over by Onslaught
we've been the harbringers of a new world order.... but not the kind of world we
thought it would be. We've become the sort of monster we'd always accused
Magneto of being," she said, and this time she let the tears in her eyes shine
for him to see. They were tears of shame, and of the pain she felt for allowing
themselves to be so wrapped up in themselves to have missed the world around
them.
"Katya, I thought that it was good. There was peace, equality, all the things
that the Dream spoke of needing. THey all came to pass Katya. We had the Dream,
the Dream of a distant future was now!" Pitor countered, still needing to
believe, still needing to have his reality here and solid, not crumbling to dust
around him.
"Peter, it's a lie! We did to humans, and to any of those mutants, our friends
and teammates included, exactally what we'd all vowed never to do! WE conquered!
Humans hate and fear us still, because we've become what they'd feared. We did
what they accused us of. We were idealists, we believed that the ends would
justify the means... look at the means Peter! Look at the end result!" Kitty
replied, turning away from him and huging herself. It suddanly felt very cold in
the room, and in this relationship.
"This isn't some pretty picture you've painted!" Kitty said, turning back for a
final parting shot at the arguement. "You can't make the world whatever you've
wanted to be. I may be able to go intangible, but I can't walk through life not
feeling! Just because you're made of metal doesn't mean that you can shut that
world out! You can't pretend that the truth isn't there!" she found herself
pointing at him angerly, and shaking a bit with the hurt she found herself in.
"Pitor, please, you know I'm Jewish, what happened to my people in the Holocaust.
What the Nazis did to my people, I've been a part of here. The Nazi's may have
killed people, but we've gone and killed their spirits. I can't live with that
Pitor," she said, letting the hurt and the pain and the self lothing infiltrate
her voice. "Can you?"
Pitor stood there quietly, not saying a word.
"I don't know what I am anymore Pitor," Kitty said softly after the long silence
became almost unbearable. "I need to find out if I really am this person I've
found myself to have turned into. I need to find the Dream again."
She looked into his eyes and saw the hurt and the pain of what she'd forced him
to see. He had known, just as she had, and they had pushed that knowledge down
into the very depths of their unconciousness, unable to acknowledge the truth.
"You're leaving then, leaving me?" Pitor said, after another long and even more
uncomfortable silence.
Kitty stared at him, unable to agree, and yet unable to deny that was her need
and her plan. They'd shared so much, and come so close again after all the years.
They were friends, lovers, and teammates. The bond between them, the emotional
and spiritual one, could never be broken. Lockheed crept out from under the
couch, where he'd been hiding, and flitted up to Kitty. She snagged him and
cuddled him close against her chest. He cooed reassurance, but it did little to
alieve her personal pain.
"We're married Pitor, we said 'till death do us part'. And I ment those words
then, and I live by them now," Kitty replied, biting her lip to keep from
sobbing out loud. She held Lockheed close. "I'm leaving, and I don't know how
long I'll be gone. I need to find my Dream again. I need to go back to my roots."
She stood there, unable to go and unable to stay, as the tears coursed down her
face.
"I understand Katya," Pitor said after a moment, moving around the table and
taking her in his arms. "I will wait for you, for as long as it takes. But come
back to me soon," he said, his voice husky. Her words had struck him deeply, and
had breached a truth he knew that he needed to hear.
They both would have to find their way again, and he would just have to accept
that they would not be doing it together.
