Strength Level:The Juggernaut possesses Class 100 strength,enabling him to
lift (press) over 100 tons. The Juggernaut is said to be unstoppable, and
the upper limit to his strength is not known. His strength rivals that of
the strongest being on Earth,the Incredible Hulk.
Known Superhuman Powers:The Juggernaut's body is completely invulnerable.
His skin cannot be broken and he is incapable of feeling pain or
sustaining any form of injury from any conventional physical
attack,regardless of the amount of force or energy exerted against him. He
can however be jarred or dazed and has some susceptibility to sensory
attacks though he is affected considerably less than a normal human being
and will recover completely almost as soon as the attack is over. The
Juggernaut can generate at will a personal forcefield around himself
extending to about 1 foot from his body. This forcefield is completely
impenetrable to any level of concussive force or any form of energy blasts
regardless of their intensity. The Juggernaut is immune to harm from all
toxins,poisons,gases and disease. He is self-contained by his magic and
does not need to eat,drink or breathe and cannot tire or become exhausted.
The Juggernaut is regarded as unstoppable. When he begins to move
forward,no physical force,object or barrier has been observed to halt his
progress even if the resistance is greater than The Juggernaut's own
strength. Any obstacle in his path will either be pushed back by his magic
or crushed.
Weapons and Apparatus:The Juggernaut wears a suit of armor which he can
summon around himself at will from an unidentified dimension(presumably
the Crimson Cosmos). This armor is made of an unknown mystical fiber that
is completely indestructible to any level of pressure,force,attack,or
energy. Magically bonded to this suit is a helmet made of an unknown
mystical metal that shields The Juggernaut from all psionic
attacks,probes,scans,etc.
Untapped Powers
ATTRIBUTE AUGMENTATION - Controlled subconciously by an unknown
influence,The Juggernaut was innately able to self-augment
his strength to the point where Thor exclaimed it had "swelled a hundred
fold". On another occasion The Juggernaut grew to some 100 feet in height
when under the control of an outside force. Although it was not stated his
strength presumably grew proportionately with his height.
REALITY WARPING - Heeding an outside influence,The Juggernaut once pulled
the physical body of Charles Xavier from across town through Xavier's own
astral form.
MYSTIC ENERGY PROJECTION - The Juggernaut has been observed firing bolts
of mystic energy from his hands to shrink a giant Nightmare down to his
own size to better combat him.
DIMENSION RIFTING - Controlled by an outside force,The Juggernaut's
magical unstoppability was unleashed to the point where he was literally
punching holes into other dimensions.
POWER PROJECTION - In the past The Juggernaut was seen firing globules of
energy from his body into a long-range barrage attack.(This is a forgotten
ability moreso than an untapped power).
Limitations:The Juggernaut does have certain vulnerabilities. He can be
affected by mystical forces of sufficient strength. Without his helmet and
skullcap, both constructed of an unknown mystical metal, he is vulnerable
to psionic attacks against his mind. Nimrod, a robot from the future of an
alternate Earth, successfully attacked the Juggernaut’s mind and nervous
system with advanced weaponry producing tight-beam high-frequency sound
waves and synapse dislocuter that jammed his neural impulses. However, had
the Juggernaut used his force field, perhaps he might have proved
invulnerable even to these futuristic weapons. It can be said that
juggernuts mid is his own greatest weakness as it can turn the unstopable
power on its user thanks to doubt much as how Gladiators power reflect his
self confidence.
History:
Cain Marko was born in Berkley,California where he and his father,atomic
physicist Kurt Marko lived alone after his mother passed when he was very
young. Kurt Marko worked alongside a more prominent scientist by the name
of Brian Xavier. During an explosion Brian Xavier was killed. Soon after
Kurt Marko moved to New York to marry wealthy widow Sharon Xavier. Kurt
Marko did this solely to get at her money and though he never told
Cain,Cain suspected this had ever been his father's wicked intention.
After Kurt had established himself as Sharon Xavier's husband and heir
Cain got himself expelled from school and came to his new home in
Westchester,New York. Despite now being in a rich household there was one
aspect of his new surroundings that he was never happy with. His
stepbrother Charles.
This was more than a simple sibling rivalry. The feelings Cain had against
his stepbrother were deep rooted. Cain was abused harshly by his father
for his failures in school and life. But on the other hand unknown to Cain
Charles Xavier was a mutant with the ability to read others' minds. This
was an ability he had no aversion to using for his own purposes. Not only
did Charles excel academically because of this but by using his telepathy
Charles became a star athlete as well. He knew what his opponent's move
was going to be before he made it and over the years amassed several
trophies for his prowess. Charles' success at every endeavor consumed Cain
with jealousy and he would torment his stepbrother at any opportunity. As
fate would have it there would later come a time the inexperienced Xavier
would accidentally make contact with Cain's mind. Cain's jealousy and
feelings of inadequacy toward his stepbrother were no longer his dark
little secret. Xavier now know knew of it all. And for this Cain would
hate Charles Xavier in the truest sence of the word.
 One
day in an argument with his father in his lab,Cain knocked over a group of
volatile chemicals. This started a deadly blaze which consumed the
laboratory. Kurt Marko managed to save Cain and Charles but at the expense
of his own life. Before dying Kurt revealed that he probably could have
saved Brian Xavier those years ago,but he didn't try. He also left Charles
with a warning to beware of Cain should he ever find out about his psychic
power.
Eventually Cain and Charles would grow up and go on their separate paths.
Charles would go off to see the world,Cain would become a mercenary. An
occupation that would land him in a third world prison. Here he met fellow
mercenary Tom Cassidy. The two became fast friends. Cain would join the
Army. This was during the Korean War and as fate would have it,Charles
Xavier was assigned to his same unit. One day their battalion was under
fire against hopeless odds. To avoid near certain death or worse Cain fled
from the battle toward a hidden cave. Charles followed to convince him not
to abandon his unit but it was to no avail.
Inside they stumbled upon a large,ancient gem with an inscription on it
claiming that whoever read it while touching the gem would become a human
juggernaut. Against Charles' suggestions Cain did so and no sooner had he
finished reading the words than did the gem begin infusing energy into him.
His body grew,rippling with power. The transferrence caused the the cave
to begin to crumble. Charles,seeing Cain was beyond saving,fled before he
himself was buried under the rubble.
Charles would move on and return back to the US where he began work on
human/mutant relations thinking(and hoping) his stepbrother surely dead.
Cain afterall had just been buried under trillions of tons worth of
mountain. Xavier would later find out how wrong he was about his
stepbrother's demise. The claim was not an empty promise. Cain and Charles
had found the gem of Cyttorak. Cyttorak is an other-dimensional god with
many Earth followers in Asia. Cain Marko had indeed become a human
juggernaut. The gem had made his body invulnerable and he was now
incapable of being harmed. He was now also one of the strongest beings on
the planet who wanted Charles Xavier dead and set out to do it himself. He
tracked down Xavier to New York where he had now formed a group of mutants
known as the X-Men. They served as the first obstacle between Cain and his
stepbrother.
With his newfound power Cain(now called The Juggernaut) made short work of
Xavier's team with very little effort,but with aid from the Fantastic
Four's Human Torch they did manage to set up a psychic attack from Xavier
which was enough to defeat The Juggernaut. The Juggernaut would again make
an attempt on Xavier's life and through the aid of Doctor Strange,he was
sucked into the dimension known as the Crimson Cosmos. But this would not
be the last of him.
Eventually Cain was pulled back to our dimension mistakenly through human
machinations and would reunite with his good friend Tom
Cassidy and the two mercenaries would form a partnership with their deep
friendship as their bond. With Black Tom as the mastermind and Cain as the
muscle the duo embarked on a successful career. With The Juggernaut's
staggering might no assignment was too big for them now,once even holding
two of the country's wealthiest people hostage inside the World Trade
Center. The Juggernaut became one of the most wanted criminals on the
planet. Proving himself unstoppable by even the mightiest of heroes and
most powerful villains. He often was seen single-handedly battling whole
teams of superpowered individuals and was confronted by the likes of Hulk
and even the thunder god Thor. But still he remained indomitable against
them. Even when somehow slowed down he always emerged basically unscathed.
His power was feared by anyone who knew of him. And with good reason.
When The Juggernaut set out to accomplishish something,there was little
anyone good or evil could do about it. With Cassidy leading and Cain
providing the unmatched brawn they were to become very wealthy criminals.
And when not working with Tom The Juggernaut still found trouble even if
it meant having to look for it. He has had run-ins with the military both
in the United States and abroad. The nature of Cyttorak is a destructive
one and as such The Juggernaut is prone to violent rampages that can
sometimes be orchestrated with little concern for human life. The nature
of Cyttorak amplifies Cain Marko's naturally brutish mentality. Simply a
malicious bully at first,it is speculated that the influence of Cyttorak's
power gives Cain his ability to kill.
Little did anyone expect or imagine,The Juggernaut would later see a
strange twist of fate. He for once would be the one terribly brutalized in
a battle. Onslaught,a bizarre amalgamation of Charles Xavier and
Magneto,would belittle The Juggernaut,defeating him soundly and trappping
him in the very gem of Cyttorak which gave him his power. Inside the gem
Cain,aided by Gomuur The Ancient and Tar,destroyed the god Cyttorak and
the gem as well,freeing Cain.
Reccent Biography:
Caught in a stupor, his powers working against him Jugges lost all hope
and joy in life. Living in fear of even the weekest psionic he thought
long and hard what to do just to survive. And only one choice came to him.
Out of shere lack of options he joined his once slayer Onslaught. Over
time he made somes alies, the insane Carnage, and some enimies who further
used his own power turn over against him, Venom. After being hurled into
the ocean, a feat his own power aided Vennom with, he sat their for a
eternity wanting to just die. Over time the world would change, Onsaught
would fall, and he sat at the ocean bottom, anarcy rose, and he sat at the
ocean bottom, doom came to power, and he sat at the ocean bottom. But
Finnialy after his long self morning Juggernaut has stired, reflecting on
his past deeds he feels disgusted, and reinvogorated his power returns to
helping him, as the Juggernaut now rises, helmet still unoticibly ajar, as
he heads out of the wather to reclaim his name and the fear it brings.
