History:
Jai (pronounced Jy and not Jay) was born of mutants in a place where mutants
were few. It is only fair to say that her parents were wed more out of her
mother's adoration for her father's mutant abilities but, with the birth of
their first and only child, that adoration blossomed into an immortal love.
Jai, being the only child, was very accustomed to being pampered and spoilt and
receiving full attention so it was no surprise that when her parents died nine
years after her birth she craved the same attention from her grandparents. It
was during one of her temper tantrums that her mutant ability flared, or maybe
that should be "exploded". Green ooze, which she bled through her pores like her
father, splattered the entire house and two years later they were still finding
ooze. This brought a new fear into the house which they managed to have some
control over for 7 years...until Onslaught arrived.
She did not despise Onslaught for what he did, in fact she sort of enjoyed it.
She ignored the existence of Charles Xavier as best as she could in order to
keep her mind from being wiped and even refused to acknowledge the Resistance
that was gathering.
When Onslaught went down she decided that she'd best go into hiding as well. She
had no particular liking for the present world and the people who lived in it
and the last thing she needed was to be accused of being one of the rebellious
mutants. She just wanted to be normal.
Known superhuman powers:
The ability to create a green slime that she can control and harden/crystallize
at will. When using her powers she also turns green which is more a coating of
her own ooze rather than her skin turning green.
Weaknesses:
Water: Water or any other liquid makes it hard for her to crystallize the ooze
or even control it.
Attitude:
She's not much of a team player since she insists that her way is the right way
regardless of whether or not it really is. She's head-strong, flirtatious, bossy,
a big show-off, vain and doesn't really give a damn about anything unless it
affects her in some way. Ain't she a real joy to be around? (
